OK here's another question.

If your opponent's an all rounder = good keeper, great defence, great midfield, good forwards.
What tactics would you apply to beat him if you have a great keeper, good defence, so-so midfield and so-so forwards?

Just opinions will do  icon_idea.gif

Depends on how u want to play..and also your average age...If your team avg age around 26 they'll play until 100%..If less maybe play nt completely at their 100%...

Then u have to consider the formation and also the tactics..

Ur team is ok ma..Ur defence not bad la..Maybe sell off the 33 4 skill forward and get a young 17/18 year old..

my suggestion would be maximised your team's strength: defence
play 4-5-1 style and put pressure on, and ideally dont play attacking, unless you are home team
and be sure to guess what formation your opponent might be using("defense against option in the tactic page"), as a correct guess will lead to overall better performance from your team, and limiting opponent's chances smile.gif

and if you would like to go further, you could pick a player of your opponent to be tightly mark, but make sure that this is the best player of your opponent, OR the player he selected as "the playmaker"

oh, about the referee, you will notice there will be a "S1H2" below his name:

S stands for skills, the higher the more skillful the referee in judging situation like player cheating, offsides, penalty descisions...

H is hardness, means the tendency of the referee to give cards in the game

yea, average age of starting line up is also important....which i think is a downside of this game....means that you cant play a very young team.... sad.gif

Thanks for all the tips and tricks!

Yeah I can see your style of play through your motto lol...

"best defense owns the league..."

Added on May 7, 2008, 4:49 pmO ya erm.. If I apply pressure, it says my team will tire out near the end of the game. Tire out like.... how?

Auto concede more goals? More chances? Or chances of injury higher?

I used long balls tactic plus pressure. I don't want the ball to stay in the middle of the park for too long as his midfield is obviously stronger. I'm ok with him scoring since its from a free-kick and a LRS. But the funny thing is why I cant attack as much as I liked my team to

Yea he use offensive, applied pressure too. I think it's ok to post our match tactics here. since it wont reveal much i believe...

4-3-3 << Formation >> 4-5-1
Very offensive << Playing style >> Offensive
Through plays << Offence >> Varied
Tighten the centre << Defence >> Tighten the wings
No << Prepared >> Yes
Normal << Aggression >> Normal
Yes << Long balls >> No
Yes << Pressure >> Yes
No << Offside traps >> Yes
No << Cheating >> No
No << Win bonus >> Yes

Opinions?

lol
u must buy tactics report in order to see these details on other matches,
so unless the player changes tactics every match, tactics report is the best way to counter the opponent

haha I know smile.gif

But this is the 1st match lolz. and I omitted a part which I feel is quite important (key players and stuff)

The ones I showed are tactics that I believe many will change according to their opponent.

So I think for this once it's ok to post it biggrin.gif

well....another thing about formation, if you keep the same formation for several games, your player will be more adapted to it and will performed better, so thats why some of the managers will not change formations or tactics so often smile.gif (not including me of course...lol)

lol, the best way is to place your bid 5 minutes before the deadline, and you will notice the "evalute" button below the player you wanna bid right? That is a comformatory procedure of the player's actual skill (sometimes agents do cheat, eg:a player shown as 5skill may be 4 or 6 skill after evaluation).

among all the agent listed, 3 are most reliable(meaning you no need to evaluate as the skill stated by the agent are always correct)

so, i'll pm the manager who entered the "xpert eleven" (team of the week) one name each time he got into the list, so be sure to fight for the xpert eleven placing if you do want the name of the honest agent in order to save your money biggrin.gif
