I wanna know how you guys get the SMS.

I'm using the Dlink DIR 451 with the PCMCIA aircard 875. No sms coming my way as far as my hardware is concerned. LOL.

And recently my speed has gone up. But that's not saying much since my speed has never been faster than dial-up in the 1st place. Loading pictures is a nightmare and youtube... you can forget youtube.

I think celcom fair usage policy is fairer for the d98 package users but for D68 folks its a joke.

From reading the whole celcom , thread..I've found out that celcom caps your D68 pacakge to 64 Kbps (aka australian style/ISDN speed) once you have reached the 5GB limit whereas for D98 users they would cap you to 1Mbps (Which is reasonable). as for maxis , regardless of the package that you use , they'll cap you to 256Kbps.

Here's the joke of the century - I tried loading speedtest yesterday night and it didn't manage to load completely. In fact it timed out after 10 minutes even after refreshing the loading on Opera.

My area doesn't have phone lines yet so I don't really have much of a choice. Maxis BB is pretty hopeless in my area too.

Actually you still can do surfing/download/etc after the 5GB monthly allocation. but your connection speed will be slightly slower, mine left max 21KB/s after receiving the 5GB notification, normal speed around 43KB/s. tested this after late midnight, if during daylight sure slow one.

now i confirm already, my download speed never surpass 10KB/s. average is 6KB/s only. i tested my connection about 2 days and the speed never improve. i use netlimiter 2 monitor to monitor my trafic. now my location is in kulim, kedah. I'm sure this area is fine. cause early this month i got max speed. After i exceed the usage, this is what i got. i don't mine if they want to cap my speed. but cap at <10KB/s is to much.

no throttling, just use my nokia 6680 as my modem, staying at shah alam. haya, since yesterday my speed cannot go more than 16kB/s. maybe next week less than 10kB/s.

yes, i also having same problem since 2 days ago. i guess celcom really cap our speed. what the means of 3G 384kbps broadband if we still getting dial-up speed. this suck, so much for fair usage. cannot bare the slow anymore, guess i have to stop my subscription for a while until the speed back to normal.

So for those who did call celcom - are they "still having problems with their 3G network" or what?

Dumb excuses.

i think the fair policy is not fair enuff, any ISP with no limit on bandwidth and got a good services ??? brows.gif

it just time to me to terminated my celcom broadband, wait until 23 MAY 2008 as their say now their network got a problem... mad.gif
