The D68 and D98 Plan Sim can send and receive SMS just cannot receive Voice/Call.

Between that, my friend do exprerience that the Upgrade problems.
because your Sim is registered under D68 and when Upgrades usually take up 1 month.
This is because they have to finish the period where D68 package before doing that transfer.

no
i purposely ask them when is the best time to upgrade
they told me 3 days b4 the billing cycle is the best
my billing cycle is on the 28
i upgraded on 25 , so this is the best time cause 3 days later new bill cycle will bill me rm98

as for the upgrading ( technical side ) they ady switched port cause i knoe . my sim went dead ( for data ) for almost 24 hrs during the changing of ports and during tat time my sim is a postpaid sim which i ady tested by calling fruitie and sending sms to kailoon rclxms.gif

not free one, it do appear on every month bill as I remember like RM0.10 per sms.
Anyway, the first month bill will not charge the sms as I remember because due to the Xpak Prepaid 3000 Free SMS campign is mess up with that.

This where I discover when I paid the bill at The Shah Alam Seksyen 16 Celcom Centre and the Customer Service notify me about that.
The Reason why it no more sms for new use ?? hmm.gif

You should trust maxis. Oh my god , if you thought celcom is worst. Think again.

Now i am not affiliated with kukumalu or anyone here.but solely judging from the sms message. There are some grammatical error in that message (No I am not being a grammar nazi). So this can't be an official message from celcom , can it be ?.

Apart from that , have you guys called up Celcom and have you guys verified with them instead of ranting here. Please do give them a call and clarify it. Its because my friends who are using celcom are bunch of torrent freak and they torrent all day long. But then we do have some users who have exceed more then 5gb usage of month and they dind't get any sort of complain

Its better to ring up celcom and find out or send them an e-mail !

Your GPRS is not due to Celcom's speed control. It is due to the 3G gateway faulty (as they claim)... This is what many of us are experiencing now...

The public needs to be careful with such sms broadcasts. The sender's name can be spoofed to be from anyone they want it to be(i.e: Putrajaya, the police...)
*

Actually, this "spoofing" is harder than you think. SMSC needs to provision a code and masking and a password in order for the sender to show up as something like "Celcom3G". So if something comes up as "CELCOM" it most likely came from Celcom.

yes i agree with you.
I did project on sms during university. there is no option for end-user like us to set the calling terminal identity using any sm-te(short message-terminal equipment). numerical calling terminal identity is the default one, the alphabetical calling terminal id is new format, i think its value added and have to subscribe wit service provider. and i don't celcom will easily permitted "CELCOM*****" as a calling terminal id, bcoz people will use it for fraud.
The sms transfer is simple; SMTE(sender) write a message and send to SMSC(server), SMSC(server) receive the message from SMTE (sender) then forward the message to SMTE(recipient), SMTE(recipient) receive the message from SMSC(server) and read it. during the transaction, SMTE will capture the CLIP(Calling Line Identification Presentation) from SMTE(sender) on the first ring, then put the CLIP ID inside the message before forwarding the message to SMTE(recipient). so that how we can know who sending the message to us. there is no way SMTE communicating with each other without going through SMSC.
for more detailed you can refer to ETSI(European Telecommunication Standard Institiute) publication. This is worldwide standard. Try to find&read "ETSI ES 201 912 V1.2.1", this one for Fixed-Line SMS, but the message structure are the same with mobile.

Good news...... I just terminated this stupid service after argued at their branch..

Those stupid fellas, customer service representative, technician, and so called head of engineers, all denied is their network fault and claimed that 2 of my sim cards both are faulty, when they couldn't find other valid reasons to explain...... I almost wanted to throw the sim card on them....

Don't waste your time on Celcom Broadband..... Just terminated it !!!

wah, at first i thought of subscribing
then just now i went to celcom web site to view the plans and everything
came across "fair usage policy" exactly like maxis
viewed it and came to my surprise... 5gb/month limitation (slightly better than maxis)
after viewing this thread, thanks... i'm not going to subscribe to this anymore
