Introduction:
OCZ Technology is one of the well known memory modules vendor around,it was founded by enthusiasts and their products is for enthusiasts,though they never forget about entry level market,today I will be testing with a entry level DDR2 kit from OCZ modeled OCZ2RPR8002GK, this kit is available to be grabbed from local retailer,also from our fellow forummers, karom, kingmaker_20 or Moderno.

Conclusion:
  • Overclock wise,it isn't as impressive as compare to D9GXX chip,it max out at ddr680 cl3,ddr974 cl4 and ddr1020 cl5 respectivaly no matter wat voltage it was feeded,they are still ProMos chip afterall.
  • The kit is more suitable toward mild overclocker and DIY-er to show off their setup picture tongue.gif
  • Price was tagged at Rm200-250 and Rm450-500 for 4GB kit,though it slightly higher than other brand,but considered cost of its well built quality heatspreader,it is still worth of price.

interesting..almost similiar result from my tested corsair, exactly ddr2 1000 @ 5-5-5-18 @ 2.0v & 4-4-4-15 @ 2.2v @ ddr2 960.slightly diff tRAS tho

i oso used this ram for 1 week. result almost d same but a bit poor. ddr980 is d highest wif 5,5,5,15 wif 2.3v. then sell it & now im using tracer 4gkit..

Well... I believe this kit makes people feel like worth it due to its magnificent head spreaders, even I do brows.gif But for the price, better go for more overclockable RAMs.

yup, but the heat spreader oso doing quiet well. even wif 2.3vdimm the is just warm abit. compared wif 2.0vdimm tracer sweat.gif
