is a tele lens enough? can it do macro shots? or do u need macro lens to do that?

best if using macro lens..you get a 1:1 ratio which means its life size on the sensor... but it costs a bomb anyways... there is macro lenses that come with AF motor...

New Sigma/Tamron 70-300 did offer Macro and tele in a lens smile.gif
Check it out. Not yet available at market but coming soon this May as one of my friend told me so.

Tele when it comes to 200-300mm, the bokeh is superb. biggrin.gif

I am still looking for good macro samples produce by Sigma 70-300. Some user call this lens semi macro and I think kits lens shoot better macro with perfect color.

ya ... built in flash ... still planning on SB ...

my collegue used the sigma 70-300, macro mode on 200-300. I tried it on low-light iwth d50, bad result. maybe my skill on low-light photo is still inadequate
