If u all wish to bring ur lovely dog for grooming.. CARRFOUR..IS A new shop lot and juz open ard PLS DO NOT BRING IT TO TIS SHOP which is near to the KEPONG, half yrs.. the shop name DxpT PET shop... although the shop can let the customer see how they groom ur dog and puppy bt they ppl helping u to groom them is not professional at al.....SERVICE r BAD and it prove by some of the forum comment for those DOg lovers too... they wil COMB ur dog's fur very rude til they r yelling inside and out their hair till the dog's tears flowing from their eyes.. if the groomer there stil cant COMB the fur they WIL TEL U, UR DOG HAV TO CUT OFF ALL THE HAIR.. coz the groomer scare to do so many jobs straigh cut off all ez for them and can earn the customer more money.. they dun even try to help ur dog and juz think of themselve's [/COLOR[COLOR=red]]benefit.. so TIS IS NOT A PROFESSIONAL PET SHOP PPL AND GROOMER SHD DO... AND THE groomer they r stil new and student they do not hav any experience and the shop owner juz simply pass the job to them and earn the MONEY is their 1ST PERIORITY.... PET SHOP SHD HAV GOOD HEART AND MUST LOVE THE PET beside THN JUZ EARNING $$$$$$$$!!!!!!

some forum ppl giving comment tat the HURT THE puppY's ear during the grooming section..til the bc home only realize their puppy's ear get hurt...I'M one of the EXAMPLE.....

my lovely PUPPY GIVE THEM MURDER ADI...!!!!!! coz he stil small so me and my bf dot of bring him to do basic grooming for shower and cut the finger nails coz too long make him feel uncomfortable.. after tat when we on the way home the puppy keep yelling so we check his body realize tat his ear got hurt, at 1st we dot mayb small problem so we bring him home til nx morning the puppy's ear getting serious, my bf bring him to see doc and the doc say it very serious and it wil coz him die too............ after putting the medicine the puppy feel better bt the er stil does look so good....and the puupy feel illner each day...... on the fouth day.. we found the puppy totally no energy and bring him to doc again and admitted for one day... nx day he look more ill and keep yelling like wanted to talk to me and my bf.... look so pity....... in the afternoon doc called and say he PASS AWAY ADI....... and doc say if affected by ear his head wil only lying to one side... is true tat when we bring him to see doc his head only lying to one side...... god..... only four days bc from the PET SHOP... thn the puppy left us.....

im really sorry to hear that, the shop staff are so unprofessional and cruel !!! they should go sweep the floor rather than do grooming, damn it !!!!

Fully agreed with you many pet groomers are money minded. They don't have the patience to deal with our dogs' matt fur, just simply cut it way and still charge us extra for dematting service. And getting more and more pet groomers hired the untrained foreign worker to do the dirty job, like bathing the dog, cut nail, clean ear and dematt. Those trained one only do the cut and trim part. And then they still charge us for RM80-120 each dog.

So better learn to groom our own dogs, like that save our $$ and protect our own dog being tortured by those untrained groomer. We can learn how to groom our dog from internet if really want to learn. Invest basic grooming kits would be cheaper in the long run.

I learnt through the hard way too, last time I also sent my dogs for grooming, each time after grooming my dogs developed skin problem, then have to bring to vet for treatment, all in all the cost spending on that is like RM250 each time. Initially thought may be I was unlucky with that particular groomer, so try another shop, still same. Eventually I decided to learn to groom my own dogs, they may not look very nicely groom, but at least they are healthy and I have improved my skill along the way.

um, although i barely understand you, i think i'm somewhat getting the message you're trying to make. good that you're creating awareness in a public forum like this, it'll benefit many others.

sorry for your loss, and if i were you i'll lodge a complaint to the pet-grooming shop or at least create a fuss to make sure they don't get away with this.

yalo...so everytimes my bf bring our boy go to groom or do minor surgery hor...we never demand to low down the price!

ya.. we was so sad... actually plan to bring the puppy's body try to argue wit the pet shop ppl.. bt then doc not encourage us to do so.. coz scare wil affect the other puppy and also he said tat shop onwer r no very "good ppl" so scare they wil do anything to us... so me and my bf plan to post tis up to all related pet's forum dun ever go to the pet shop and tel the other too....

Hi, u r here too... Looks like u really go to every forum to post this. I understand u must be very angry but dun be too sad since u cant change what is already happened. I've been to that petshop u mentioned b4. Yea... sumhow their groomers r quite rough in treating fussy hair. May ur dog RIP...

ya..im here too... coz i wanted to creat the awareness for other so there do not go to the pet shop... and hope can help the others b4 any sad cases happen again.... hope to get support from the public..

rieky, I am very sorry for your loss.

However, there are certain things that I feel I need to point out to you:

1. There is no way a puppy can die from ear infection within a day of grooming. If the groomer did hurt the ears, it is very highly unlikely to die from this. Before anyone contradicts me on this, I have actually called Hand n Paws to verify this before posting this.

2. Why on earth would you bring a 7 week old puppy for grooming? A puppy at that age is not fully vaccinated and should not be going to public areas. That is a fundamental rule.

3. Why would a 7 week old puppy be matted? How do you take care of your puppy? On another note, a lot of people talk about how pet shops want to earn money and just want to shave the dog botak. Do these people actually take care of their OWN dogs first before pointing the finger at the groomer? People who truly love their dogs and take care of them should NOT HAVE MATTED dogs.

4. Which vet said that the pet shop are bad people and that they would employ scare tactics? Appreciate if you could list the vet's name here.

1st of all.. the pet is already get the 1st vaccinated..bt we know tat is not consider tat is y we plan to hav another vaccinated on the coming days..and pls note tat im not BRING HIM TO GROOME FOR NICE AND PRETTy i also got think of him ok.. is juz tat he is too small..i do not dare to shower o cut the nails for him...scare he get hurt, so bring to the pet shop coz we put a trust on the pet shop and the see tru glass so tat we know wat is goin on to the puppy.. so pls dun mis un me simply bring the puppy for groome is coz of fun and wan him to look good ok...is he feeling uncomfortable of his nails and the smell at his body.. if is u for 1 month plus never cut ur nails and shower.. u wil feel good o bad? the dog alsi same liek human being..they also wanted to hav a clean enviroment and body so tat can feel comfortable ok...

and i wana ask u tat although how the ppl take k their dog stil their hair wil grown and scare to hurt their dog after the comb it and if they love theirs dog for sure they will try to over come the problem 1st b4 send to the grooming shop am i rite???

I am not misunderstanding you. I didn't say you brought him for fun. I am just asking why bring a dog which is not FULLY vaccinated to a public place. If you have committed to have a puppy, you really should be bathing him yourself.

Sometimes, the groomer may not notice the injury as it may not be obvious until later. Just like if you accidentally cut yourself, you may not notice till later.

If the vet is confident to say such things, then there should be no problem in mentioning the name here. If the vet has no problem tarnishing other people's reputation and making wild accusations, then he should also be confident to have his name mentioned

i'm sorry to hear what happen to your puppy.
from you post , i can see that you are very angry.
please calm down although i don know if you can.

i believe jtl wasn't trying to blame you.
just that riekey death can due to many factors.
one of the reason is definitely due to the ear infection.
there may be many other reasons involve also.

i mean tat..no matter how u take good k of ur dog stil they will hav some problem such as the grooming part.. some ppl scare to cut theirs nails so bring to the pet shop, some ppl see their dog's fur got stick tgt sometimes, already try their best to comb it bt stil the same so decided to go for the pet shop let the groomer help to solve the problem.. so u cannot blame the OTHER DO NOT K of their DOGs...u say is unfair to point a finger to the groomer so u also cannot POINT a finger to the dog'd lover as well.... sometimes the situation not u think and under ur control...no metter how well u taking k of he dog...

and i did not mentions the doc confirm say tat is coz of his ear.. coz he told us tat if is coz of the ear problem thn his head wil lying to one one side and my puppy did tat...bt everything is hav to go for blood test the doc hav his proffesional method and is doin his part.. cannot simply confirm the patient anything ok... coz the puppy is too small cannot do and blood test due to his illness body..

is we think coz of the ear problem making him ill and sick..b4 tat his ear is alrite and health no problme til bc from the pet shop...

i also think b4 to shower him myself bt how about cutting the nails?? and if shower myself i do sumthing which is not rite and he pass away then ppl wil blame y u din bring to a pet shop shower for him?? am i rite wat im saying here???
and the pet shop shd be a place which is profeesional and cna help the pet's lover solve their problems... we trust them tat is y ppl sending their pet to the pet shop.. bt every time the pet fin groome sure wil hav some problem...thn tis is wat problem? can u explain??

rieky, I do not want to comment further as you have already suffered a loss but I do hope that in future, you would not expose a puppy which is not fully vaccinated to public places.

People who are upset and angry can sometimes be irrational and I do not want to further induce that.
