Cheh!. in those days..a usual family had only ONE TV and somewhere 21" to 25" max (29" was a luxury) and whole family gather round to enjoy and quite a distance. Old man would say... Hey kid!..So near, SPOIL YOUR EYES LAH!.
My dad said: TV IS replaceable..NOT YOUR EYES!.. icon_rolleyes.gif

Best bet 42" and above. 37"?..bare minimum maybe. Bigger better..but again..its the price, people look at and compromise somewhat. Like me.. forced to go 32" for bedroom, purely thats all I can afford, as my old TV kaput already.

have you guys seen this kind of chart? it's even on the first post.
it's about how far you should seat from your tv.
you may think you'll be sitting too near to your tv, but think about the cinema with the huge screen.

TX-37LX800MK thumbup.gif
Comparing LX800 and LX80, the PQ difference is easily noticeable.
Vast improvement on LX800 Vs LX80.
Retail price is RM3,999. Less few hundreds discount ... (depending on bargaining skills) biggrin.gif

On the other hand, I saw LZ800, LX800 and LX80 placed side by side in BEST today.
LZ800 is definitely one class above all thumbup.gif , even Sharp A83 series that were placed above LZ800 looked inferior. shocking.gif
LZ800 is a good choice for ppl who look for premium LCD TV.

I dunno why but I've never liked Sony...very LCDish colors...not natural at all.

hi bro,

recommendation models for 37" LCD tv is the panny model 37LX80.

since ur budget is around RM4k, u can also consider panny 42PV8 42" plasma tv.

the picture result is significantly different. smile.gif
