because all jdm cars window are naturally tinted. but their tinting allows light to pass thru. those tinting film that ppl put into their car windows, reflect light away. so at night it will be hard for ppl to see thru your window thus confirm kena saman.

my car is naturally tinted front yellow tone and rear windows all black tone. pass by jpj he ask me if i did tinting. i said no tinting, all natural. he shine the torch light can see thru the other side and let me pass. only problem he had with me was my exhaust lol... sarcastically said this to me "ooo exhaust ini kuat nye, kalau saya tekan, semua orang di taman ini bangun"... i laugh at him and said "its standard exhaust bang, beli kereta ini sudah mari satu set ma..." then let me pass. Encountered this road block in Cheras area around 3am on sat night.

As far as i know , JDM's car privacy windows(such as Estima , Wish , Alphard and Caldina) are illegal , confirmed cannot pass puspakom inspection , my SA changed my car windows to clear glasses only sent to puspakom inspection , after that changed it back to privacy glasses only hand it back to me.

by the way , what car you driving ?

my front windows have the puspakom sticker... however my rear windows do not have the sticker. but it is still a pass because light can pass thru the windows, or the JPJ officer would've given me some sort of trouble on the spot. im driving an evo 8.

first of all you have to understand why they oppose tinting. last time people tinted their windows with black sticker. this greatly reduced heat and light to the driver, however at night because light cannot pass, it is impossible to see the driver because all you get is a reflection. thus they made the law that your car must allow x% of light to enter. so that ppl can see inside (last time got a rape case about a bus, fully tinted etc). so if my car windows allow lights better than some tinted window, why should I be stopped? i am not infringing any law. that air-cool tinted car blocks more light than my dark shaded windows... if they placed both our windows to do a test, that air-cool tinting will likely fail compared to mine.

even as for the case of HID. why are they trying to crack down on ppl using HID? most continentals now come with HID, even some JDMs come with HID default now. the reason why they want to catch HID users are those that illegally modify their headlights to fit in HID (i.e: Phillips, bosch etc)... installed incorrectly, will cause wiring problems and probably cause the car to blaze in fire. or worst, HID set up too high, beams into ppl's rear mirror affecting their driving. or on coming traffic, the light is so glaring it blinds them. JPJ are cracking down on these ppl, not those BMW or HONDAs with factory fitted HID... if you are driving a Proton Satria with HID installed, you should be afraid of JPJ. If you are driving a BMW or Accord with factory HID you have nothing to worry about.

I don't think HID is a hot topic now. Even rear passenger seat belt policy seems not hot. I see more and more 6000k HID users are roaming around in town.
