i bought the MCE controller from niclasteoh 2 weeks ago. this seller is very good, response was fast and delivery was very prompt.

my comments about this controller are:

FOR:

- very solid feel to it... first impression of it is that it'll be able to survive a few years of abuse. infact, it even feels more solid that my astro remote control.

- the remote control is branded HP, while the receiver is branded Toshiba. strange... but as long as it works, i'm happy

- installation was extremely easy. i used it on a Dell Studio Hybrid, hence the only difficult part was to find the usb port to plug in the receiver.

- it works perfectly in Media Center that comes with Vista Home Premium, no drivers needed, nor any further configuration.

AGAINST: ... nothing is perfect

- really no major flaws, except for some pretty minor ones

- i don't have a keyboard/mouse attached to the pc, hence it would have been ideal if the remote also have some keyboard functionality built in, probably this could be done via software/settings, but i haven't figured out how to do it. would have been good if i can use it to type ABC (if somebody can point me to the right path, i'll really appreciate it)

- would've been nice if the remote comes bundle with 2 AA batteries tongue.gif save me a trip to the store...

overall, i give this product a 4.5/5.0 for functionality, and a 5.0/5.0 for value for money.
