i don't dislike linux because of its commands, i dislike its complications. since we are more used to ms's "next" feature, it suddenly feels like we have to do a lot more on our own. but after struggling for almost a year now, i feel like i have learn a lot more with linux compare to ms, though obviously still far from enough for me to dance across the keyboard. n besides they have adept/synaptic if people prefer the "next" feature. haha.

dislike linux because not being used to is something that sound stupid me, just my opinion.
is not like when the first time using windows u know everything right, you need to learn everything from modified startmenu to deleting file from program file(folder) without making any harm to computer and modified regedit, it take time learn too right, is just the matter want to learn something new or not

It's a shame that in Malaysia, we are so sensitive about English words to the extent that a common word can be banned from usage, when it's perfectly acceptable in native English-speaking countries.

Anyway, female dogs don't give birth to "son". Technically the word is "pup". If you want to call a person a son of a b****, then simply write "SOB". Or be smart and just use "son of a gun". It may be an older expression, but I don't think the powers that be would be so anal-retentive as to ban the word "gun". Or at least I hope not.

"And how does Windows get updates? Do they have gnomes deliver the CD to your house?"

Someone said this in reply to a similar comment about updating Linux. Don't remember who but I'll steal it anyway tongue.gif

i'm a loser in real life. ever since i started to use linux, i've been getting calls after calls from girls asking me out on friday and saturday nights. in fact i've been so busy i've got no time to keep up with the latest kernel updates.

i've since reverted back to vista because of the superior cleartype font rendering and the sane windows manager. but sometimes when i go to sleep, i'll stare at the ceiling and that'll remind me of the girls that'd use give me booty calls because i can ls their feelings and cat my opinions > their heads with empathy.

i also miss linux's commandline subsystem when i'm doing dev work. but i've totally forgotten about them ever since i got up and running with powershell and the cygwin linux utils.
