Bought this before.
Honestly speaking, Gigabyte G31 is better than this.

sorry if this should not post here..
but really dunno where else can ask..

been confused of which mobo to upgrade to...
have a few board in my mind currently which suit my budget...

-Asus maximus II formula
-Asus striker II formula
-MSI p45 diamond
-MSI p45d3 platinum

this is what i need:
-A nice OC board
-for gaming
-more usb in back panel(all of the mobo above suit me well)
-would want to do SLI in future when i have money(funding for GTX275 now),but striker ii formula seem to be a lil old..
-if can support d3 ram better...

so can anybody give me some advice?

If u dont mind, u might wanna consider ASUS Rampage Extreme. Good OC Board. Support CrossfireX x16.

Striker II Formula... totally not recommended for heavy OC n 45nm procs. But if u still insist on going for SLI, I recommend you go for Striker II Extreme instead. On the other hand, it supports DDR3/plenty of USB ports at the back IO panel (6 ports).... the only thing is SII Ext. is expensive....

Else Maximus II Formula is recommended if u want reasonably priced/very good overclocking/stable/DDR2/6 ports USB@back IO motherboard.

I don't know about MSI though... maybe someone could advice on this matter...

Added:
you can go for Asus Striker II NSE.. cheaper alternative....

Asus Striker II Extreme is very good motherboard. Peoples in Xtremesystems still OC this motherboard.

But if you go for this motherboard for SLI, mind as well go for X58.

it's all aabout increase clock then test w/ whatever stability program u favor, if failed increase voltage, if pass increase clock again, and d list goes on & on until ya coolin limit d mileage. for 24/7 setup just find a sweet spot of max cpu clock + ram freq + nb freq. not d highest for certain part but definitely suitable for d long run. eg u dont wanna run super high cpu clock while leavin ya ram/nb freq @ stock, some compromise are needed. nod.gif

for agena, i won't go over 1.4v for 24/7 setup as they're generally hotter than deneb. wink.gif
