Alright, serious talk here.

The Girl's Club was setup for a purpose - to let the girls that hang around the forum have a place to go to to have their share of Ladies' Fellowship smile.gif It's supposed to be a place where ladies can go to and discuss and all but apparently the section has gone down down down. Girl's Club is somewhat becoming Sex Central.

Now I'm opening this thread, I'd like to view constructive posts on how you ladies would like to see this place improved.

Currently, i see a lot of crap. a lot of the participants look like guys who are in for cheap thrills to add spice to their sexual fantasies. sad.gif

Open for suggestions..... especially from the more senior (in terms of membership duration la! not age) ladies of LYN forum. As for guy feedbacks, yeah it'll be fine as long as it's constructive. And please, don't bother registering new accounts just and disguise as FEMALE just to participate. (I'll give the duplicate account a permanent ban while the original account a 3 day holiday if there be any).

There's not even enough participation from girls.
What to be expected?

not enough participation, so what? that doesn't mean guys should come in here and tear this place apart.

furthermore, i don't blame them for not participating either, especially when 101 other guys behave like hormonally-charged maniacs.

i think i have to agree with u goldfries.... most of the thread was filled with non-constructive reply from male/she male...

another point is when a guys tried to create a new acc and ask something baseless question here for discussion.. these guy are new without a single post yet they create a new thread here... (maybe some may claim those are ladies who wan to keep themself anonymous...) but how true is that nobody know

I agree with you goldfries.

This place is turning into a huge junk with an abundance of trolls. Every time there's a new thread, 99% it's about sex. It's so sickening to look at those rubbish thread with even worse replies.

Not enough participation from girls?
1. This is a male dominated forum, of course there's lesser girls and lesser participation compared to the rest of the forum.
2. Who want to post in a thread started by obvious sex maniacs/shemales?
3. This place is meant for the girls on the first place, even if we post less, you have no right to come here and turn this into your spamming ground. You have Kopitiam for that.

It will be very helpful if we can limit what kind of sexual related threads to be allowed in this section?

well there are few ideas from me such as:

1. Set a post count requirement in this section.
2. Every member should be check whether there is a second acc (well, if the mod is free enough)
3. No sex topics are allowed? But if the girl who post it, i dun think i mind.

4. still thinking... Oh ya.. is there a mod in this thread? If there is, i dun think the mod is active.

5. Baseless replies will be clean.

Seriously, I don't see any other option except for the mods to be more active. The R&R is loud and clear about guys starting topics, so they come and they reply and 'bawak lari' [divert] the topic to either sex, sex or sex. Or, enter the she-males with new accounts asking for opinions, advice etc.

I dunno, maybe the guys think it's cute, but it's actually pathetic. But what can the girls do, really? Except for ignoring those topics altogether? Or, maybe they can do what I do, ignore the whole sub-forum altogether...

Like I said, much as I hate to suggest this, mainly because the mods are not paid and are not supposed to play nanny to immature retards, I think the mods need to be more attentive. If things/topics stray wayyy out of hand, intervene, carry out the appropriate action [delete, edit post/topic etc] or maybe, if the offense is that big, give the offender a holiday.

how about totally banning any thread related to sexual stuffs ?
Afterall, it kind of mind boggling to think a girl would ask those question, though there are still chances some of them might be naive.

which is why i drop by from time to time. consider there's WAY more mess around other area, GC's problem is currently sick people, sick threads and sick urges. tongue.gif but they're not as pain as Kopitiam and Football Lounge.

anyway, the point of this thread is to get a general feedback from the participants to help the section for lady community of LYN to improve.

among the many section of LYN forum, probably the one with lousiest growth / progress would be Girl's Club. Reason? Well you guys know why la.

i personally think that post count is not an issue. sexually related topic should be alright but i think it's time we put a consideration on WHO started the topic.

nowadays, you see people less than 24 hrs but somehow know how to come here and post a sexually charged "hawt hawt hawt" question that guys love to know the answer. LOL. end up guys asking and guys answering.

from what i observe, most girls that register won't know about LYN's Girl's Club after a little while later unless someone intro them to this place.

perhaps we could start it like this la, you gals / guys just click the REPORT button if you see some strange folk just registered and started a new odd topic. do notice how these fellas often just register, post a topic and go missing. it's like WTH!?!?! all they could post are stuff like "what do you think about orgasm?" but never even post some view or observation of their own to start the ball rolling.

smile.gif

as for guys being mod - seriously la better girls be GC mod. biggrin.gif currently mod is only juichuan, again it's not easy to monitor everything that goes around, which is why i'm here to hang around. still looking for mods to whip things to shape. hehe.

Hmm then what do you suggest? We limit thread opening in GC to people who registered say pass 3 months (or something like that)? If so Moderator preview on every new thread will be necessary right?

Besides the suggestions listed...

If you don't want to completely ban mature and open discussion of sexually-related topics, set up a 'sexual health' board or something. Then all the 'cannot get any' 13 year olds can actually go troll there, and we can impose stricter rules on Girls' Club posts. Of course, that board would probably need to be moderated even more heavily then GC considering the mental state of most Malaysian teenage guys... :S

I rather let you girls decide what should / should not be allowed. smile.gif

while waiting for a moderator to come, can always use the REPORT button. or heck, PM me if need. I'm always around on LYN / MSN and whatever else.

i for one think we should make this a girls only section. Guys are only allowed to read, not post replies. And those who change their member tag to female and post will have their tag permanently set as female!

as long as the ladies are in favor of it.

sad.gif by not doing what se7en mentioned, how else is GC going to recover?

the founding mothers of GC (like kyliemin.....) did whip the whip and also was kind enough to allow guys to post in GC, however this kindness was not properly treasured. guys took this for their advantage and that is where GC is now.

btw I'd also like to propose that
1. any NEW account that's found imitating a GIRL and starting a topic here. the duplicate account will be permanently banned while the original account (yes, of the owner) will get a 21 day ban.
2. any NEW account that come in (without being recorded as duplicate account) IS subjected to scrutiny and MAY subject to be banned as well.
3. IF any supposedly tag female account was discovered for actually being a guy - permanent ban! hehe...... ok well let the ladies decide la. i don't think permenantly leaving them as female tag would help la se7en, plenty of them do that. it'll give them nutso access to GC. so i prefer they get permenantly banned or something. hehe.
