the problem with E1 series is the the bandwidths or SP1Ms that it produces.. since its cache is so low... even OCing it at high clockspeeds doesnt give u much of MIPS improvement. So its crap smile.gif

Hmmm.......having oc-ed on a couple of boards, I would say that for simplicity sake, IP35-E is a vy straightforward board with no super fancy settings to confuse u. But at the same time I find this board does PMS sometimes and has the whole double-booting issue, which is not much of a prob but irritating. Overall its a good choice la. I thought IP35-P is the same except has a horrible colour scheme and the cmos switch? tongue.gif
*

yeah abit p35-P color not so nice.. thats y im looking for p35 - E. read some reviews that the p35-E has the same potential as pro, just no crossfire wherelse the p35-P they somehow downgrade it (correct me if im wrong) tongue.gif

@a1098113,

how does bios version affect an ocing e2xxx series? like u said that bios 14 solves dual boot , but bios 10 very nice to OC? i tot the whole idea of updating / flashing to newer bios is because its more stable fix bugs? mind explaining to noob like me? sweat.gif

there is no raid in ip35e and also no heatpiping in it.. well i think thats the biggest problem with the e series. Well, u just have to get better NB cooling and PWm if there is.. waht else is different hmm not too sure..

well from my OC experience since i am a noob as well sweat.gif , Bios plays an interesting role in OCing.. OCing was easier for me with the ver10, as i used lower voltages to reach top speeds.. meanwhie as i got higher, it became difficult.. and issues and things proped up.. need to research on it.

Hi guys.. New user reporting in. biggrin.gif Just swap from my old P4 to Dual Core E2180 M0 stepping. Pair with Gigabytep GA-P35-DS3R & Crucial 10th Anniversary. icon_rolleyes.gif By the way guys, some question regarding on the temperature. Well.. I just sawp to dark side not long ago so still unsure with this new tech.

Just wander, is 25-30'c a normal temp for a none OC dual core proc? Well i dont use the stock HSF but then i m using ThermalTake Big Typhonn none VX. The proc temp is quite impressive (atleast for me) but then the mobo temp is around 42-48'c. Are these temp is sitted on safe level?

@fylon
what exactly is your OC levels at the moment? Welcome by the way, you have good rams for the wrong proc... nowadays the e2 series fails the user miserably. ANyways have fun here smile.gif

@joe_star
For physical features the bios ver13beta and ver14 onwards fixes this issues... but i prefer the older bioses due to the manual voltages u can set for both Vmch and Vdimm. Also, often a board works best on its original bios but maybe its not the case with all the boards..

@sany
334*9 at 1.38V is disappointing as youre still running under the strap of the P35 so i believve your proc aint that good

theres nothing great about ideal temps bro. I can get ideal temps lower than that if i know how to cool my system.. by the way what i want to know is the load temps/. THat defines how good a cooler and how good the ocer is in maintaining tight temps when the tough gets going smile.gif
