Hello,
Newbie Steam user here , I'm trying to login to Steam server but it just stuck there forever ... so I decided to reinstall Steam , now it cant even update at all .. stuck at 0%
Can anybody tells me whats my problem ? I already forward the ports that required by Steam .
Thank you.

Sadly steam is like that at times :/

Alternatively after you tried all those these gentlemen suggested and if still dont work you might wanna try this:

Go to

C:\Program Files\Steam

Delete the file

ClientRegistry.blob

Which will force steam to re dl some stuff and sometimes connects you through.

Otherwise a good 2 min wait is also good to consider before you try any of those.

The line has been bumpy these few days, regarding the Steam login problem, if all else fails, restart the PC, i do sometimes(1 to 2 times) and it worked for me.

you know guys, wanna make it compulsory to join the chatroom of the group just to chat or organize a ladder match? That way we can know whos playing now or something else. It wont lag the game

And the f*** is this? Disconnected from windows live = instant disconnection from game

And now I'm having second thoughts of buying dow2

Here it is

QUOTE
This beta would have been much better if it was actually a beta. It's not. It's a multi-player demo.

Game went gold before beta was even released. Beta isn't getting patched. People are finding all kinds of bullshit imbalances, bugs and exploits (and believe me there are A LOT) and Relic's response is "Nice work guys, please buy the full game when it's released. All the problems will be fixed, promise!"

How about NO. How about you fix all the crashing and other bullshit in the beta so I know it'll be fixed before I spend £30 on nothing but your word which isn't worth shit to me. Yeah, I'm a butthurt DoW1 fag so that "it'll be fixed, we're working on it" crap won't work on me. 1 year of Dark Crusade without a patch? 6 month "hotfix" for SoulStorm? lulz.

On the subject of gameplay; Shit gets old fast. Game has almost 0 macro management, 0 capacity for multi-tasking, all it does is focus on control 3-5 units around a very small map. And on the subject of maps, there will only be 7 maps on release. Bare in mind there are already 4 in the demo...sorry beta, so that's a grand total of... 2 new maps for release.

Head developer has already admitted that the game isn't even close to being finished yet. "DoW 2 is a platform to be expanded on" = industry spin for "yeah sorry guys, not finished yet, enjoy your lengthy patch process".

Some might be bullshit I don't know so need some old dow1 kakis to comfirm about this ? I don't want to change my decision over some fake facts

It's not bullshit. Those who are DOW players know this guy aint posting any bs. It's true and that's what holding some of us from getting DOW2 on the first hand. DOW2 is a great game, it has its flaw, which isnt ?? As long as the developer is committed into fixing it, listen to the gamers and providing a quick fix when needed all is fine but Relic just had a very bad record on this issue and it's pain to say Relic scratched their own record when it comes to fixing thing.

Disconnected from Steam also kicks you off the game if not mistaken, yeah what that guy said is true, DoW:Soulstorm is the worst expansion for DoW among all expansions, you will have to make the decision yourself though, with those facts.

Disconnected from either steam or Live will get you kicked off from game.
I just got discon from tonight from a local 3v3 game, twice @@

No bullshit guys, I am a big DOW fan and a bigger W40k fans.
Heck, I even play the table top game and owns a bloody land raider and know this: DOW2 beta as it is while really fun and awesome at points has some serious technicality issue which can only be concluded whether or not worthy on the retail edition.

If you have faith in relic despite the pass record, love single player campaign or simply have money to blow I will say go ahead and buy, for 100% space marines, eldar, orks and tyranids are in there and they look way cooler and fight way cooler than DOW 1. If your rig is old and your connection cacat... my personal truth and sincere advice is wait for the retail version feed back before purchase.

In Emperor's name I sh*t you not.

Requisition points are now updated to use a new system. Points are worth +10 upon capture, but this value now increases by +5 every 15 seconds up to a maximum of +35. When uncaptured, this value resets to +10.
Hmmm, that encourages defending req points and able to field a few more forces in the game.

It's true.

The entire game is just not ready to release.Too unpolished.Too buggy.Im getting bored of Relic's "lets release earlier and fix it later" attitude. With economy down turn and THQ not doing so well,i think we dont be seeing much patches or DLC.Longevity is one of my concerns.I dont see much to do with DoW2,even in the multiplayer after a few months.DoW2 is just too streamlined with a couple of strange design decisions.

Im definitely not pre-ordering DoW2.I'll see whats on the first week's patch and comments on the campaign.Probably getting Burnout after that.

Added on February 6, 2009, 11:32 amThe changelog looks good.I'll give DoW2 another try.
