You can try BitDefender trial 30days (with some adware cause it prompt you to register) or BullGuard Internet Security for 60 days....FYI BullGuard also using BitDefender anti-virus engine which is top on the market now...i heard Kaspersky have better sales in eastern europe and asia only, they not so popular at western country...maybe there are political issue coz Kaspersky is Russian..personally i have used Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2009 for 6 months and it work well, but now i try BullGuard Gamer's Edition..just wanna know why security suite also got 'Gamer' tag smile.gif

best AV is yourself...

if u dun have safe computing habit, no AV software can save you...

if u really want one, i suggest Kaspersky, Nod32 and AVG

I would like to say that no AV or security product should be the best. One is just better over another on some parts but not all.

The best policy THAT all general users should inculcate in their mind now is not to log in with Administrator or Administrators group privileges. This will cut down most of the attacks. Create a limited user account for general usage. Only use a user account with Administrators group privileges just to install genuine software. This is especially true for Windows XP users. For Vista, try to create a limited user account rather than use the default user account.

not true. less download /= safer
it depends on WHERE you download from and whether you know WHAT you're downloading

most ppl just simply download stuff and run it straightaway without running a virus check first. That's not good shakehead.gif

best antivirus = don't connect, keep your PC isolated from everything laugh.gif
because there is no such thing as best antivirus, only good antivirus

Im looking for an antivirus or internet security that can prevent or delete viruses from my windows vista notebook. Mostly to download movies and music from sites such as limewire, etc +clear virus from removable hardwares. Can anyone recommend me some reliable ones, the pricing and where to get it at the lowest possible price? Im considering norton, kaspersky and ESET. Um.. Wats the difference between internet security and antivirus? icon_question.gif

norton - expensive
eset - moderate performance
kaspersky - better detection than eset but resources consuming (not a problem for a higher end spec)

eventually i'll suggest kaspersky

antivirus is just antivirus while internet security consists of more security features such as antivirus + firewall smile.gif

good point there
just that it'll be bit troublesome to do that
