Actually, even your warranty over, Benq will extend 2 more months of warranty everytime they fix ur laptop.

wat do u mean by that??? means 14 mths in total??

me using ubuntu here. no gaming...

but to think positive, it's king of way to make myself concentrate more in my studies.

nowadays tension here.....next month got my cambridge english literature exam. then follow by end sem exam.....german language test some more.....physics..chemistry....maths....

sob....sob....no time to surf internet also......

hey everyone, i am thinking of finding some silicon cover to cover the keyboard.....my hostel here very dusty......have some recommendation? I mean, is there anything which fits well with s41,or they can fit into any lappy de?

Another motherbaoard / Nvidia case ...

So sorry to say but my faith to BenQ is totally gone ...

I am just wondering cause I never check out other laptop brand threads... does those that using the same faulty nvidia gpus also break down that often or is it just BenQ

so, what you mean is mine was send 2 times, then I got 16 month?

So then my warranty not ended this june, but this upcoming oct?

lol. Now I know that I have 1 month more feels like a lil security come back, although I doubt they didn't know I had open the screw to upgrade my HDD.

Like u got ur laptop fix at 7 September then ur warranty will extend to 7 November. Let's say ur warranty gone adi and u pay to fix, the same 2 months warranty will be given.

Dell and HP are offering extra warranty becuz of Nvidia GPUs...

ve heard quite a lot of cases of GPU breakdown, especially Dell XPS M1330... GeForce 8400M GS...

that doesn't sound constructive at all...

there are problem with 24 models of HP laptops...

Sony juz recalled 440k of it's TZ laptops...

Dell users are reporting problems...

where can u hide??

and btw, wrong model to boycott, S41 has already stopped production...

heh, i never trust nvidia when it comes to mobile computing.luckily my trust didn't backfired me, but helps me..

..which in my case, i decided to buy benQ s73g and not to wait for the upcoming model of benQ s41 (during that time lah)

Btw, just to update a bit of my situation. They said quotation gonna out this week, that means today. But no news from Benq again. I called the Ipoh branch since the HQ insisted last week that quotation would be handled through my local brunch. But today when I called the Ipoh branch, they are clueless. Even wanna pay them money also susah, very bad service.

at SG here if u pre-ordered during Comes (end Aug), u will get the laptop in 3 weeks time...

so i am expecting the laptops to be on sale in shops here at approx. Oct...

eventhough s42 coming out, I have no money to switch it.... Got stick wif my s41 till it's officially dead....

hah tumpang thread, coz i'm also one of the defective gpu user!

maybe if nvidia recall back those infected mobile gpu, they will lose big big money easpecially to us cosumer and those IT comapany like dell, acer, both side i think they gotta pay!

Well, another update, got my quotation after bugging them with a few calls. Rm1570.. actually kinda reluctant to fix already coz' that price can get new acer 4530 with just a few more hundred ringgit excluding 3 years warranty option. Just scared that once motherboard fixed, the GC kong, mampus thought they give 3 months warranty, that's what they told me. But my dad told me to fix it, well he is the boss so gotta listen to him.
