watched it last night at Pyramid
surprisingly the hall is not even 1/4 full doh.gif

but I kinda enjoy the movie smile.gif
Since I didn't go in with high expectation.
It's just an animation anyway, just like the Clone War cartoon on Nickelodeon.

This movie is just the beginning of the 100 episode TV series, and all this are originally meant for TV screenings, not really in theater.
So don't expect it to be in the same grand scale like the live action movies.

So I'm waiting for the TV episodes, which will explain what happen to Ashoka prior to Ep3 smile.gif

Just watched. Enjoyable if you liked the cartoon network series.

Overall it was ok for me. Enjoyed the AT-TE scaling the cliff the most.

i have to put some warning here to those who are expecting this movie to be like the series in Cartoon Network.

I LOVED the cartoon series. thought all the Jedi's were badass. they didn't talk that much, they had the action scenes right and basically everything was just cool. and they don't try to make it slapstick funny.

this movie on the other hand talks too much, is unfunny and made the clone commandos look ultra-lame (at least in the cartoon series, they were cooler than their trooper counterpart).

and i HATED the Miley Cyrus Jedi padawan! why oh why.. doh.gif

I dunno what this movie target audience is for. It feels half kiddy, half serious with lame attempt. And copying Solid Snake box method did not make the movie cool automatically. It also feels like watching Republic Commandos in FMV version.

Dialogues is stiff and action is even stiffer.

Not a very good effort, I rather watch the Cartoon Network version again than this. The Cartoon Network version feels more intense and very Star Wars in spirit plus the characters were not sissy.

problem i find with prequels,is that we generally know what is going to happen in the future since we have already seen the "sequels"

stuff like

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

etc...

we pretty much know what's going to happen even before the sequence finishes..

1.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

2.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

3.
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

the first and third sequences above i find to be a complete waste of time because we already know the outcome(or atleast can have a very good guess)

The cartoon series rocked because it showed other jedi and clone troopers in action. Here we follow only Anakin's and Ben's untold adventure in the clone wars.

I was expecting to see Mace laying some smackdown, but that of course didn't happen...

The movie moved on at a glacial, predictable pace while most of the characters are devoid of any personality whatsoever.

I tried to keep awake but couldn't, I doubt I would watch anything with "Star Wars" in the title ever again.

i like star wars... given i suspect this one will have a plot as thick as my razor and a script fit for Drama Minggu Ini, i still will watch it once.

True as i predicted. I don't have very high expectation for this one. in term of entertainment value, i grade this below average. I happen to be looking at my watch seeing what time... mayb i was thinking when the plot will really start...!!!

Having given up on plot and script i was expecting good effect and in this one, i'll give it a 6/10. Its not on par with the movie. the environment texture is kinda cheap like i am playing PS2. I just watch Appleseed Ex Machina a couple of days and i thoroughly enjoy the animation.

I hope Lucas can manage to bring back some quality in the franchise. Its still star wars yes... but there must be some minimum std.

BTW... the theme in this one is totally out. The revised version of the Star Wars theme is ok but i remember hearing it at the starting and ending.
