I keep getting this error "Connection reset by peer (WSAECONNRESET) (code=10054)" when trying to connect to US-SurfingStreaming. Been getting this error for the past 2 days. I never encountered this error before. Did I need to update anything? Please advise. FYI, my username is xjimmys.

We only accelerate p2p downloads not normal downloads (for eg http download), though some people report faster speeds with HTTP as well (not something I will guarantee).

Some people who use our US-Surfing find faster surfing due to alternate routing but this is not something we guarantee either It's more to access US only content and privacy surfing.

We have another service for priority surfing and WoW but that's an added package at RM25/month.

Oh yes and you would have to install OpenVPN.
Installation is painless.

I saw the blog post about the streamyx slowdown for international connections, and I'm wondering if this is why I cant connect to international peers in my deluge/utorrent 1.9 (other BT clients were throttled since very long ago).

This only happened since about 3 or 4 days ago. Before that I was able to download at 150KBps with my 1Mbit line, without using any VPN. Since yesterday international sites load pretty fast, but my torrents are still stuck averaging at around 2KBps per torrent.

Do you think this because of some unresolved international connectivity problems, or it is because TMNet has finally throttled my deluge/utorrent (something I thought was impossible?).

I'm hoping for an honest answer here. If it has indeed been throttled, then I might consider using this VPN.

Btw, is it ok to use this if I'm behind a firewall like Comodo?
And why is i that if I pay using PayPal, there is like a 20% surcharge instead of just 3.4%? I have to pay RM118 for the RM100 package. Sorry I'm inexperienced in these things.

The deluge/xunlei workaround has been around for ages. It works for some people, it doesn't for others. I suspect this has something to do with some areas not having updated throttling devices. It seems that some areas Deluge/Xunlei has no effect on speeds and leads to indications that some throttling devices do successfully throttle these clients. Lately TM has been removing and putting back on the throttle at random times and my contact says that they are they testing their high speed broadband and sometimes removes the throttle.

I am unable to confirm this but this is my honest answer based on my own experiences and feedback from customers. I even know of some people who can get max speed with utorrent without a vpn!

However this is why we have a trial at only rm5.00 for people to determine if it works for them or not.

There has been some international connectivity issues however but for me at least hasn't affected vpn speeds.

Comodo I'm not too sure but it should be ok if you add the proper exceptions to it.

For Paypal, the price was set during the time before the US crash and as it caters mainly to our international customers who have faster connections we have decided to keep the existing price for Paypal rather than having to constantly alter our price in line with the US dollar especially when our servers are paid in USD or EUR..
If you are local, no reason why an interbank transfer or ATM cash deposit should be too difficult.
