Thanks for the support man! thumbup.gif

The Sigma EF-500 DG ST flash offered earlier was seemed to be a not so good choice for DSLR body... got exposure problem with Alpha bodies (reported numerous times). Probably it suits the Minolta film SLR body better.

For the time being, I'm still looking for supplier for Sigma EF-530 DG/ST Super which can give good price.

I am using the EF-500 DG ST, no problem at all, please make sure it is the new version, SONY ADI support.

You will see "SO" wording at the back, that means support SONY mount, older version Minolta. I forgot the short wordings, starting with "M".

Personally I think the Sigma 70-300 APO DG Macro has better 'value' than the Beercan 70-210.

But the Beercan is legendary due to its tough build (metal body instead of plastic like most other lens), very smooth out of focus effect, and the vibrant Minolta colour. It also have constant aperture throughout range at F4, just nice for moderate lighting situation like concerts.

The Sigma on the other hand, is sharp, but tend to produce softer image from 200mm and beyond.
