Hey guys. Anybody have the Phillips 37" or 42" 1080p lcd tv? Is it any good. So far in best denki the 37" 1080p sells for rm5700+ and 42" 1080p sells for rm6999. I know ss2 most probably can get it cheaper but I wanna know how good is phillip tv.

Another option is sharp aquos 42" 1080p but thats rm1k more... sad.gif

actually i'm quite like the pana 42pv70h。is there any si fu here using this model or got any review bout this?
any1 know wat's the different between this tv model with it's brother pv700h?
the SRP for this model is 5499 compare with 8999 pv700h (if not mistaken)
big price difference yet similiar panel, chip set...etc. i dun think an extra hdmi port n card reader can cost so much different.

stil thinking of this plasma or full hd lcd......

suggestions and reviews r muchly appreciated here smile.gif

For me, i dun like projector becoz:
1) U need a very dark room to unleashed it's potential (or maybe wait until night time sweat.gif )
2) The bulb lifetime is kinda short compared to plasma or LCD, maybe hv to change it every 2-3 years or so (each bulb cost you more than RM1k sweat.gif )
3) Must hv a big room/wall so that you can projected to it's glorious purpose (like the cinema sweat.gif )

Actually, projector is great if you can over come those problems, in another word, if you are filthy rich brows.gif .....am i right rx? whistling.gif

neo, salah biggrin.gif
and im not filith rich, i go for budgeted entry levels items, i live within my meanss

1) preferably nite time, but u dun really need a really dark room, some ambience lighting is fine
2) the bulbs are more cheaper, the one im aiming at, the bulb is less than rm 600
3) no need wall also can one, room not neccesary have to be big as well

boreclub, i have no issues with my panny pv 70, im ok with it, just tat wen u go HD, u wan larger screen, especiially wen u watch movies in 2.35:1 aspect, u lagi dulan

cos the panny (i bought @ 5.2k sept 07 + 5 years warranty) shud be ard 5k or less now, u r getting a 42 incher, if u go projector, u can go much more than tat, but @ a lower pricing (budget projectors, sony AW10 and hd65 optoma - less than 4k)

once u view HD in large sizes, u won go back

if u really interested, i do remember i come across Wii connected to the projectors i mention above, i can find the link for u to have a look at the effect

at the mean time, i prefer the tv instead of projector cos i will put tis tv in the living room. projector seem wierd tongue.gif
but after i got my own house, i might build a av room, n that time, projector will be my 1st choice.
i think i'll go for pv70h this time smile.gif if no other model being recommended, reviewed.

btw, i'm still interested in the wii-connect-to-projector URL. please?

thanks.

A high-end LCD/DLP Projector is so much better than any LCD/Plasma around. Especially when you bring your size up tp the 100" range. The amount of money you saved versus the 100" Plasma Panasonic has is immense.
