Guys,

I wonder most of you are using the normal BIOS:
DK35D818.exe Date: 2008/08/18
http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bios..._FLAG=A&SITE=US

Or the optimized BIOS with ABS:
DK35DABS_1.ZIP Date: 2008/05/27
http://us.dfi.com.tw/Support/Download/bios..._FLAG=B&SITE=US

I wanted to update my BIOS, but I'm not sure which one will be better. Perhaps any advice or suggestion? unsure.gif

Yup. Previous BIOS do support q9xxx.
But the latest beta BIOS just update the microcode.

Correct me if I am wrong. smile.gif

I updated mine to DK35D818, 18/08/2008 official release smile.gif

Previously mine was DK35DC24, 24/12/2007 release. So decided to update since I'm having sort of problem with the IDE and SATA configuration. Wondering if it's my OS's problem, but least now it's running fine wink.gif

I mentioned here and in the Technical Support forum before, jy14 even helped me to email DFI technical support regarding the matter. My HDD, particularly only Seagate 7200.11 32MB 500GB will suffer read/write error and intolerable slow performance for a SATA HDD after certain usage like few days after fresh installation. I reformatted my drive a few times and yet the same. Some time it can't even detect my HDD which in the end I need to switch SATA port to re-enable my HDD. Tried both in SATA IDE and SATA AHCI mode, it's carrying the same symptom. It's even worse that it later the run on ATA33 speed which absolutely absurd to use.

Now I did a BIOS update and everything just fine smile.gif *touch wood*
