aha, dumd of me to forget this thread---even got some posts here.. blush.gif ..managed to get 1 MSIn945 board and was surprised to be able to oc as the old biostar mb was a non ocer. e2180 went to 275 fsb (not yet push) and will report here later...funny that after bsel, the mb did not see the 266 fsb--so maybe didn't work...so its 200fsb direct to 275 fsb...if don't do bsel, what's the max possible???? tx  tongue.gif

I have actually set my eyes on a Palit N35PV as motherboard for my target Rock Bottom OverClock system - the reason being that supposedly nVidia chipsets overclocks better than Intel ones on those budget KVR type of memories as the FSB is completely decoupled from the memory bus speed and the rest of the NB components. Unfortunately PC Zone who have listed it at RM195 told me that they are no longer stocking it, and the next cheapest nForce 7100 motherboard is RM215@TM (above the RM200 budget), so it looks like a 945G is the next best thing, unless anyone can point me to a good prices NF7100 mainboard.

Fortunately (or unfortunately) I'm thinking of grabbing a E6300 (I think) from a friend and those thing have 1066MHz FSB. Anyone here have experience doing this 1066 -> 1333 FSB mod ?

i jus change my asrock wolfdale1333 to msi 945gcm7.and change ram to this ocz ddr2 800,previously using KVR fp-y5.
i found tat my e2160 can reach 299mhz on asrock, but with tis msi board,i only can go untill 295,duno is my ram's problem or wat.since there is not much adjustment to play in this mobo BIOS,so quite hard to tweak it step by step sweat.gif
