answer this question so i can help you .
1)what firmware you using( go to setting >system setting > system information see what system software)
2)did you use any plugin?? e.g
3)did you change anything in recovery menu(for m33) try change umd mode to sony NP9660 - no umd
4) did you try your mspd on other psp & the other psp still got this problem ??

UMD Regions

DVD region coding has been applied to most UMD movies, although a large majority of UMD games are "Region 0" ("All Zone") which makes them playable in all PSP systems.

simple answer cfw does not make your psp can play other region for umd movies.

we talk about umd movies , not game , yes there is option free umd region but it's not working

slim owner backup your NAND before you do anything

my advice is don't buy from ebay buy from shop , you don't know condition of that psp .
you want to buy psp with dead pixel ?

this is just my advice but it's up to you to make the decision.

BTW you can ask the seller , if ofw you can update to cfw go to shop or ask anyone here who have pandora battery and willing to help you

go to m33 recovery menu change fake region to us , how to change ? use search it's already post many time

lakum use this forum search function .If you search using google you should find more info trust me i do google a lot.

1st time you must charge 8 hours & use adapter charge psp must completely off not sleep mode

i'm also using 3.90 m33-2 and play patapon with no problem

you can use 1.50 kernel on slim psp answer = timemachine

on slim you need to use Timemachine to run 1.50 kernel .
to use Timemachine you need pandora battery
