I have this same problem with my Elite, console boots up properly, can even hear the xbox sound but no pic. Tried all cables - HDMI, component, composite, ada apa lagi? Different tv, etc.

Hope to exchange in SG this week. Sigh.

I just turned on my 360 and it had the 3 Rings of Death on it. There's no display on the screen and I tried plugging and unplugging it and nothing works. How do I repair it?

If u can hear the xbox sound then it should only be the display out. Have u tried using normal av cable on a normal crt tv???

Yea,i'll try using a different cable when I find one.

I tried plugging in and plugging out the connection cable,but still no use.

I also tried using a different component slot at the back of the TV,but also nothing happend.

Also,before the problem came out,I was playing Devil May Cry 4,and the picture colour looks blurry.but when I open the xbox menu,the colour was fine.I thought it was because of the game because every time I started the game,it says "The colour of this game may vary,please check your televison settings".

Should I be using the HDMI cable???

Also,could the problem be related with the GPU??

wait wait wait!!... you means that e73 can be fixed by using wifi adaptor???

It can be fix actually by just heating it up. I just got E73 and I solve it by heating my console up. But it went and gave me the side effect. LOL.

done that.. actually just doin some blanket and off fan trick.. but still cannot..

Who are the Gurus who can help me fix my 360?

May I know what you have done so far? And you method of heating up? How does the blanket and fan trick method is? never heard of it. sorry

Bro i think u can just use the toothpick trick!!!

I think need to keep cool the GPU / CPU at the same time when heating it up ( not sure whether related to E73 since E73 is about hardware failure in Ethernet port)

Because my GPU and my ANA chip BURST ( gone case lar means ) cause of doing this. So just a precaution if you want to do it. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

But if still can't, then sorry about it.

Actualy, 1st i got 3ROD with code 1020 or something.. i forgot... then i asked virgil to help me out, he did the xclamp and 3rod gone, but e73 showed up.

Then i tried the towel wraping.. about 10mins while i jammed the fan (put some tooth pix), leave it for a while to cool down (30mins++), and try to start.. tried many times but no luck.

Congratulation ... you have actually manage to make the problem worst by doing that well known wrong method. What you have done actually you have heat up all the unnecessary component inside the console, which is by right you only need to heat up ONLY the GPU chip so that the dry solder at the GPU leg will melt again and connected with the MOBO.

By doing that you maybe have burnt the component onboard the 360 MOBO.

this is very bad info I have to tell you, no matter how you do it, this problem will rise again in the future.. the only save method is by sending the unit back to SG replacement unit. .. believe me.. my console have suffer more than 100 times 3rod and as far as my experience there is no permanent method to resolve this problem... only temporary solution.

Technically you got 2 3rods already, since the one i bought from you died last year haha.
