A month has past since my last post and now new year, new beginning or perhaps continuity of the past that has yet to be achieved.
Back to darts... Made some shopping and scout here and there for info on local venues, contacts person and tourney and leagues. Even joined in Christmas Tournament Mix Double last weekend but lost to Malaysia darters and regulars darters' mix in round robin matches... wat an unlucky blind draw was that

ok... so there are actually darters around in Malaysia... Beginners, semi pros and pros yet all are friendly Malaysians, well not all actually. Venue beside a pub in Ampang, is few other pubs including 1 in Bandar Tasik Selatan, Taipan USJ and PJ. Outside KL/Selangor, so far I had visited Malacca Sports bar that only has 1 board and few pools tables with lounge to watch football matches. There's one pool and snooker club in 3rd floor Summit that has 5 boards in a row, nice platform setup and reasonable price for F&B. Most of darters here are friendly, they even coach you if you are willing to learn. Weekly blindraw held every Mon and thursday nites, while monthly single tournament every 1st Sunday of the month. Great place and worth a visit for darters. Darting at these places are f.o.c. but need to bring your own darts

Astro is also telecast Darts 2008 live plus few delayed matches starting 6 Jan 2008, in addition to 2007 matches aired every thursday nite at 8.40 for an hour.

Those interested in getting darts set or accessories e.g. flights, shafts etc... dun go to regular sports shop where you x try them before purchase. I recommend u to go to sports shop sepcialising in darts equipment in which 1 in PJ and 1 in Desa Sri Hartamas. Buying darts set not like buying a ball. u need to try which barrel comforts you, what weigth is right for you etc. Get free advice from them, they are regulars and pros, not an ordinary sellsmen.

What's in it for me by providing these info? I luv darts, my wife luv darts, I'm in the pipeline to establish a dart club at my workplace, i have a setup at my home.... in another words, it's all for the game, and I'm not affiliated with any venues, shops or anything

BDO Lakeside World Darts Tounaments has begun and Astro is airing it either live or delayed, dun really mind so long they cover the tourney. What a very interesting Round 1 game to highlight is that the World Ranked 02 darter Anderson (UK) lost to a 1st timer Lakeside tourney debut teen darter from holland (ranked 3++), roosenbrand 2-3. Roosenbrand is just a 19 year old teenager and had put an interesting game last nite! What a dart

Anybody here enjoy throwing dart? i have a dart board in my office and sometimes i need to keep my head clear up with the accumulated stresses, i will challenge my self with a few throw for a couple of minutes.

eventually, over years, this little thing i had been doing turn into a sport hobby and yes i just realized it tonight!!.

so anybody actually into this sport game? i find it relaxing, challenging and hell yeah addictive!! maybe later i will post up my good old dart board and my collection of darts.

come and join me, maybe we can have a group session throwing thousand of dart, drinking beer.

this game is big in the UK..i always see those fat fellas on astro supersport in competition..damn a lot of ppl watch some more..

yeah it was sort of sport nobody give a damm, i was playing it few years only in my office, not realizing it had turn into my hobby tonight. wow, few years only now i realized i am addicted to it.

i used to involved in so many expensive sport such as international practical shooting confederation, archery, skateboard(i am pretty old for this now), and just realized i have addicted into this less than 100 bucks sports.

it was fun, just tonight i had played 3 hours at home. amazing...

Hi all LYN darters,
I didn't realised there has been replies since my last visit to the thread in 2008.

For those interested playing at pubs, La locos is a good place. Home of Dream Team Malaysia, nice people & good darts. Closed on Monday. 4 boards available.

Or you can check out K-Klub Taman Melawati. Good ambiance, friendly people too. Sathiya, the comedian is also there and known among local darters of him being a good dart player. 5 boards available.

Lambada pub opposite Semua House off Jln Tar has also setup dart corner. Not sure how many boards they have.

KL pub in TTDI has two boards.

Nancy's place, MIA in Uptown, same row with Maybank. Not sure how many boards.

Amin's Alley darts studio, Pandan Cahaya. 3 boards plus 1 soft tip Arachnid board. Friendly darters here. You can find Japanese darts magazines here e.g. New Darts Life. The only place where you can find TIGA darts & accessories outside Japan. Open 8pm to 12.30am only. No beers here.

Kiambang - 2 boards; 6pm to 10.30 pm only

Ol Skool PJ - 2 boards; Sponsor pub & training venue for Hi5

Maybe we can gather sometime and play darts together among LYNers.
