there is something really fishy here.

check out http://www.rentacomputer.com/rentals/tablet-pc.asp

what does mimos stand for? what are they doing? certainly nothing to do with this kind of stuff. mimos smart computing might come up with something like this. but not mimos.

the pic in rentacomputer is not makcikpc. i don't know about the site makcikpc.com. it got the wrong graphic there. the black tablet pc at the top of the page (makcikpc.com) is the real makcikpc.

and badai, MIMOS is the leading Malaysian R&D in technology. that's what MIMOS do, research and development. MakCikPC and eRazr is part of development work.

the pic used in the both website (rentacomputer.com & makcikpc.com) are not originally from them... makcikpc.com is not the official web for mcpc n erazr... the actual mcpc pic is diff from the graphic detail in the makcikpc.com is diff... so i think it's owned by hp... makcikpc.com misused the pic..

well, for sure it is for exposing all Malaysian to computers. It is an extend campaign of 'Satu komputer satu rumah' during the late 90s.Due to this, the computer doesn't need to be so sophisticated.Besides that MIMOS need to show an improvement of any kind. Its political.Government had spend much to MIMOS but still its product can't compete internationally. So for the early stage,MIMOS had to come out with something that is going to take some trust from the Malaysian that they are doing the best they can.For some, this is not an improvement at all and not something we could proud of.really, even for me..the computer is not reliable, for sure not compatible with other product and blah blah blah (well,u all know the early specs). But we,us,Malaysian should understand that it is for the sake of exposing all Malaysian towards IT not in competing with other products and so on.
