Just saw this thread today, I missed the promo, is it still possible to get a free account or 1 day trial account? I'll be more than happy to pay for a subscription early next month. smile.gif

Hi guys,
We are currently in the process of setting up new servers -- Configuring 2 new servers in a roll, we need some time!

Once the new server is ready, we will announce here with the trial & free VPN details again smile.gif

Thanks!

Hi jordan23,
Thanks for your feedback! It's our pleasure to be able to let you try our services smile.gif

Just a small correction. We are not a one-man-show company, so happen that I was on duty when you submitted your order smile.gif My colleague Caric is working hard too, so credit goes to him as well smile.gif

Thank you everyone for your business! Happy New Year 2008! smile.gif

ps: When you refer our services to your friends, you will get additional 10GB bandwidth/mo/person. Just send me a message with their username and you'll receive the free upgrades smile.gif

Hi everyone,
Guess I should just answer to a few questions that were asked repeatedly in PM:

Q: Does the free 100GB bandwidth/mo upgrade apply to new signups?
A: Yes, as long as you are our customer before 31st January 2008, you can follow the 3 steps to claim your bandwidth for free!

Q: Do you have trial accounts available?
A: Yes, we have 5 trial slots/day available, each with its own Opened Port so you can use the trial account which performs just like our Paid VPN, before deciding to pay us!

Q: Will you be able to bring back the RM20/mo or RM25/mo promotions that you had before?
A: I cannot promise anything at this moment but I can assure you that this generous 100GB/mo free bandwidth promotion will be the one and only time throughout the year 2008. Imagine you pay RM30/mo to enjoy our non-promotional Silver VPN (worths RM60/mo) service, it's really a nice deal

Last but not least, you may check out some of our testimonials here

Thanks for visiting this post, and your time to PM me! smile.gif

Hi Everyone,
In order to provide you the best VPN experience possible, we have developed the SecureAX VPN Client to replace the current OpenVPN GUI that our customers are using.

The SecureAX VPN Client does the following:
- Points you to the server of your choice
- Encrypts your connection to 256-bit SSL Encryption
- Performs Load-Balancing on our servers
- Gives you useful real-time information about your VPN connection
- Reconnects you to the VPN server when your connection is interrupted
- No downloading of configuration file/access key to your computer required

More Information About The SecureAX VPN Client
user posted image

Important Notice:
All customers should download and install the SecureAX VPN Client. Failing to do so will result in VPN connection interruption in future. You may remove the existing OpenVPN/OpenVPN GUI through Control Panel if you no longer wish to keep OpenVPN in your computer.

To download the SecureAX VPN Client:
1. Login to Customer Area (http://www.secureax.com/customer.php)
2. Click on My Keys
3. Click on Download SecureAX VPN Client

Thank you for your time to read this post and we look forward to providing you the best VPN service possible!

Hi there,
just a few questions on VPN, do bear with me yeah, am quite new to this at the moment:
1. Can TM ban/throttle this service?
2. Can this get around the office network firewall? (my office has banned MSN messenger and a few websites like hotmail, yahoomail etc)
3. what happens if TM bans/throttle this?

been asking around looking for a VPN to be used to get around my office limitations.

also, if this is good for P2P, am thinking of signing up one account for both home and office.

any good price for more than 3 group signups? got a few frens in the office too!

thanks!

No problem. I will be happy to answer your questions.

1. No, all traffic are encrypted, if they block our traffic, that's mean every website (eg. bank) that is using SSL is throttled.
2. As long as your corporate firewall does not block TCP/UDP 1194, it should be fine. Your office is using proxy server to filter traffic.
3. We have our ways to avoid that smile.gif

Our price are fixed but if you refer 3 of your friends to our services, you will get 3*10GB=30GB free added to your account. For example you sign up for Bronze, you have a basic bandwidth of 100GB but with your referral, your bandwidth will be increased to 130GB as long as your referral stay with us.

Thanks smile.gif

Damn right you are! SecureAX's main focus is reliability and customer orientated. Why succumb customers with the ever so complicated openVPN when you can let them plug and play! Unlike fly by night VPN providers that made a fortune conning unsuspecting customers, SecureAX's servers are geographically dispersed and hosted in highly reliable datacenters (who else would host a VPN server in Equinix IBX??? ppl think u gila!). I would also like to add that SecureAX is handled by rictan and michaelfoo, both who are highly experienced in global web hosting. As SecureAX grows, expect more VPN Point of Presence and more great tools!

just adding some more info to support rictan:

1. Like rictan said, throttling/banning SSL would be the silliest thing TM could do because that will cripple the internet (at least for msians), but given the 'amazing' track record of TM doing stupid things, I'm crossing my fingers.

2. Rictan might want to open up alternative ports too if TCP 1194 should ever get blocked by your unforgiving boss. Also, SecureAX VPN Client multiplexes and encrypts many connections as a single connection to SecureAX servers. Unless your boss is a bionic superman, he would not be able to spy on your connection.

3. VPN (which includes OpenVPN) as a whole is created for enterprises and business who require secure connections. Banning/throttling vpn would send many business packing.
