Hi limjix,
At the moment we have a server in US, another in Europe and one more in Hong Kong.

Free VPN services will be put on US server only while Paid VPN services will be on both US & Europe (with load balancing)

Hong Kong server is currently sitting inside rictan's Area51 and we will come out something nice on it very soon smile.gif

Thanks again, for your compliments!

Hello limjix,
The free account has only 1GB transfer/mo, so it doesn't actually cost us anything to provide it for free smile.gif

Frankly speaking, there is no bond or gimmick behind the Free VPN account. We practice good privacy policy on our VPN servers and we respect our users' rights.

What we do hope is that if you're satisfied with our services, just spread the words for us, be it for the free or paid accounts. Of course, we would be more than grateful to see orders for paid accounts but free accounts are equally important to us because it helps to test our system's reliability.

Testing reliability not in the sense that treating all these free accounts as guinea pigs, no. We have deployed our systems but we need users to use it, stress test it and bring it to its maximum before we can improve it.

Thanks and I hope it's clear smile.gif

Hi everyone,
Sorry for the unexpected service interruption. As this emergency maintenance is beyond our control, we have no choice but to wait for our network provider to bring the network back up again.

Anyway, as a temporary solution, I am routing all the traffic to our new Europe server while waiting for this US network to come back again. Please bear with us that because the Europe server is not officially launched yet, should there be any issues please report them immediately to us.

To begin using the VPN on our new Europe server, kindly reconnect your VPN now.

I hereby apology for any inconveniences caused due to this incident, however, I promise that once our new Europe server is officially ready (in probably 1 day from now), such interruption will not occur to our paid customers, with our Load-Balancing Technology on VPN

Hi limjix,
Yeah, but with one condition, contribute 10 posts to the forum.

We have been lenient in the past with our Free VPN (what is easier than submitting a request form and the account created moment after that) but as a result, we received too many requests, some just requested without using it, some gave us country location that doesn't match its IP... etc

As such, we have to ensure that our forum members make certain number of posts to make sure he has a genuine identity, before the Free VPN account is released to him.

Thanks.

Michael,
What to post if we have not tried the service or subscripted to dotVPN. I suggest that you extend the validity of 10 posts to this forum too and/or being member for over a year in order to be eligible for Free VPN. You can verify genuine identity as well as length of membership on this forum too.
Pls consider my proposal.
Thanks
