the tripod mode liveview nice? use contrast detection..

i want to know how is the shutter performance compare to 40D and focusing speed compare to A700

i cant say much...i dun have those 2 cameras...
btw what is shutter performance?

but for tripod lv...
the AF is slow...but very nice...can zoom in VERY near the subject....intended for macro shoot...
