oh btw, i do find one bug which is very disturbing.

when i play spanish league, there is no matches available for the reserve team. so all my reserve players do not improve over the season.

i will try again to start a new spanish season soon and see how it goes.

Well, sometime the defender is too stupid and open spaces for striker and it happen very often.

wow. i actually like this one. the simulation match is surprisingly superb. the ui is good too, but too much menu sometimes made me dizzy.

hehe depending on which player you choose. i used to like people like daniel agger or sergio ramos. their market price is expensive and can easily costs around 50mil per head. but then their performance is not consistent. people like pepe, metzelder, lahn with lower cost give you better consistency and able to close the spaces that you mentioned above. do buy more defenders and rotate them. if you want, man mark some on-form striker. it helps

hmm.. i never play fifa manager before.. only CM and FM.
but it sounds interesting though..

spanish not using reserve team. instead they have 'b team' playing at lower tier. this game fail bigtime. they should make it easy for mod like football manager.

dont think u can see it. i cant find ways to check the tables out also until after the CL match.


give it a try..something diff compare to FM....reality wise, probably not as good as FM, but it has it's own pros and cons.


well i must say fifa08 alittle messy when it comes to spanish B team. it wasnt tat case in fifa07. it's easier to control. so, personally i dont think it failed big time

intermittently the game will crash. i still dunno what's cause the problem. either my gc overheating, gc driver or the patch itself.

thanks for the link. surprisingly i had the same problem as u do. but it happens to me before and after patching. after playing for awhile, usually 30 mins+ the game crash. i had to save before and after every match as precaution.

hahahahhha.. n that i think is a serious bug except if u manage real madrid in real life.
btw, i do think that the update coz the game crash on my pc. it wont crash in 3d mode but when it in progress.
also it will crash when i build the road in stadium expansion (by dragging the mouse).
if i do it click by click then it is okay.

completed first season.
i choose Chelsea and able to get alot of fantastic players. as espected, drogba is the highest scorer for EPL. average 1-2 goals per game. hehe.
1st in EPL, 1st in English Cup, Semi Final in FA Cup, and Quarter Final in CL Cup. not bad, hehe exceed board expectation.

now 2nd season. bought alot of good players like kaka, ronaldinho, messi and 5 more. i've sold alot of old players like drogba, claudia, lampard, schenvcho, etc. ended up no team chemistry. in Nov and i'm in mid table of EPL. about to get sack anytime soon.

Anybody experienced bugs in Fifa Manager 2008?

I experienced 2 bugs here.

First is Player Search Skills parameter doesn't work properly. Even if you set min. 80, they will list out those skills below 80 for you in the filter search.

2nd, when I click the stadium expansion, straightway it reboot my PC.
I have tried many times and still it is like this.

Anybody experienced this before?

last time i play fifa manager i got trouble with player fitness even after rest the player 2 games it still hard to gain back the fitness.. whats the main problem? till then i give up with this game already

the trick is make sure you have sufficient training ground before the start of a new season. if you can get your players to optimum fitness and organize at least 6 games before that, i can assure you your player fitness wont be an issue.

and try not to rotate them too much. it might make the players lose morale.

nope...nv happened before. does this happen before of after the patch?
