32GB Class 4? If I'm not mistaken, SDV32G is class 6. Visited the shop that tells me no bigger capacity, now they tell me have. Yup 32GB. From what I was told, 32GB from Panasonic comes in 2 flavours that is class 6 or class 10.
At RM1300,  sweat.gif  no thanks laugh.gif

You are right. It's Class 6.

I'm getting the GH1 this week. It may seem expensive, but think of it as an affordable 5D MkII for high quality HD video capture, with decent still photo capabilities. The kit lens is totally silent when focusing or adjusting the iris, and has full manual control. And of course you get a relatively big sensor for potentially shallow DOF shots. Also the codec is quite robust using AVCHD and not some super compressed format. I shoot pro video with an EX1 and am looking forward to using this as a B camera and possibly for use on a light weight Steadicam. I liked this camera so much that I sold my D300 for it.

GH1 is selling around RM5600 and currently out of stock from panasonic malaysia itself

FS4 - RM350 - 8MP, Lumix Lens, No image stabliliser
FS6 - RM5xx - 8MP. LEICA Lens, Image Stabiliser
FS7 - RM??? - 10MP. LEICA Lens, Image Stabiliser

Which one should I choose? I am actually looking for a very very cheap point and shoot camera that can take value for money quality photos. Which one should I choose from the above? Best if you guys can give me an update of the price for those models. Can also suggest other brands and models. Budget around RM400? I can add abit more also, but cheaper better. Cause saving money for DSLR, maybe a Nikon D90

Is that with flash or not? Anyway I'll be getting additional battery as currently one is not enough to last a day especially when on vacation.
Thanks for the heads up!

Its with minimum flash. Maybe like twice of the 100 pics. Definitely need a 2nd battery. The SDHC is sufficient if recording in AVCHD for holiday.

BTW guys, what or how to store your stuff from SDHC into a HDD without a PC or a laptop. I don't want to lug a laptop around on holiday.

Heard that there are HDD which direct back up. Not sure how it work with Lumix cameras especially the AVCHD file without the Funstudio software.

Hey that Lumix you just bought, is the required ticket, laugh.gif
Just joking la. Just by being a fan of Lumix can join already, this thread only label as discussion.
So you can come in and enjoy, ya.
Lumix world is getting very exciting. We had the GH1 and very recent DMC-FZ38

So far I haven't install the Funstudio software on my PC but I'm able to view & edit these files vis other software like Media Player and Premiere.
I found out it is more cost effective and convenient just to buy an other 16GB SD Card instead of transferring to HDD. HDD solution is about RM700 ++.

Do you meant the DE-A12A?
I saw them being sold in a Panasonic shop while browsing for SD Cards.
If not then, try PM wcs2798 or iamsobloodysick

I have a FZ 20 which i like a lot but i am beginning to have wandering eyes when i saw the GH1.

now with the announcement of the FZ35(FZ38), the temptation to stray from my trusty FZ20 is even greater.

the AVCHD is a tempting feature but i seem to have read somewhere that the continuous shooting time is limited to 15 mins.

Does anyone here have any information on this?

thanks

Don't know if this is any help. hmm.gif
On the TZ7, for motion picture, a Class 6 or better SD Card is recommended. The limit is 2GB after which you have to press the shutter again till your SD Card is full.

I hv been using TZ15 for almost a year now...No problem so far & I almost sell it off recently but due to no response even at RM720, I hv withdrawn the advert & instead of getting a waterproof, now Already bought a dicapac for my Sipadan/Mabul/Sibuan & kapalai trip.

My only real complain on this TZ15 is..the Nite sghooting image quality really bad...I really can't control the timing due to lack of manaul function (Or probably I dunno how to use this??)..Sometime nite shooting, the shuttle can be very-very long & produce the quality that I wanted but sometime it just snap for few second & the quality suxx..haizzz...anyone can enlioghtene me on the correct setting during nite shooting...It's worst than my older Olympus UZ570.

TZ7 night shooting aint that good as well.
And the noise is pretty bad on ISO400 above.

For night shooting, LX3 would be the best bet.

Total agree with you on both points, the TZ7 low light performance and LX3.
I compensate TZ7 night performance by using flash and adjust the exposure setting.
I guess that the price for using a PnS camera.

Cant win all, the zoom for TZ7 makes it so usefull.

By the way how to set the exposure for TZ7, there seems to be like some restriction. Is this done on the manual (camera logo) mode?
Or base on scene setting?

I actually prefer photos without flash and to get high Dynamic range photos.

Added on August 13, 2009, 4:37 pmAnd do u mean setting exposure as in the shutter time? I was looking for some aperture control for exposure.

Hey guys, I need some advice. Recently I took a short video with my lx3. The place is quite dark but I can still see my actors in the LCD and in my computer. Problem is, when i make it into a long video in movie maker, the scene turns so dark that I barely see anything. I already tried putting the brighten effect to the shot but still it is very dark. Anyone can help please? Urgent >_<
