Wanted to register online... but the Panasonic eWarranty link bit faulty.
Not able to access that site yet.

Still got 1 week for the promo to register though. Hope can settle before end of week.

But nothing much to buy with the evoucher other than battery or another SDHC card.

Added on July 27, 2009, 3:50 pmAs for the firmware.. not sure how to compare with 1.0
The notes just mentioned that it will have backward compatibility to some files taken with older Lumix camera to allow playback.

16Gb SD card! Wow!
Is that the capacity of one piece SD card? Class 4 / Class 6?
Last time the shop ppl tells me Panasonic don't make this capacity, biggest they had is 6 GB class 6 .

I'm getting the GH1 this week. It may seem expensive, but think of it as an affordable 5D MkII for high quality HD video capture, with decent still photo capabilities. The kit lens is totally silent when focusing or adjusting the iris, and has full manual control. And of course you get a relatively big sensor for potentially shallow DOF shots. Also the codec is quite robust using AVCHD and not some super compressed format. I shoot pro video with an EX1 and am looking forward to using this as a B camera and possibly for use on a light weight Steadicam. I liked this camera so much that I sold my D300 for it.

QUOTE(RevoWithin @ Jun 30 2009, 12:07 AM)
do u know abt the pricing of gh1 ? i heard is above rm4500 ? thats kinda pricey.
and is g1 having the same sensor as gh1 ? if ya, i might go for G1.
i can shoot video with my lx1.

32GB Class 4? If I'm not mistaken, SDV32G is class 6. Visited the shop that tells me no bigger capacity, now they tell me have. Yup 32GB. From what I was told, 32GB from Panasonic comes in 2 flavours that is class 6 or class 10.
At RM1300, sweat.gif no thanks laugh.gif

Panasonic SDHC Class 4 highest is 12GB and that cost RM299. Kingston is much cheaper. I believe its still a good deal with RM150 extra from base unit price for a bigger SDHC card.

Added on July 30, 2009, 11:46 amHOw is the experience with TZ7 battery?
I got myself like 15mins video and 100 plus photos spread over 2 days of usage.

There was some comments that using some non Pany SDHC card could lead to even faster battery drainage.

Is that with flash or not? Anyway I'll be getting additional battery as currently one is not enough to last a day especially when on vacation.

Thanks for the heads up!

BTW guys, what or how to store your stuff from SDHC into a HDD without a PC or a laptop. I don't want to lug a laptop around on holiday.
