My friend in US already received my iPhone & case.
But too bad the screen protector can only arrive by November 12th...

hi to all iphone owner..

i reading all the thhread starting with vol2 hehe... and read about its great technology...
i want to move to iphone too and

i want to ask ,
what differences compare to normal phone nowdays i had to faced when changing to iphone?

for example

-no 3g ( i not using it anyway)
-maxis problem ( i m using celcom...so no worries)
-no multiple sms
-no mms

If you can log into your iPhone through Starbucks, then why not? My point in case is, the Starbucks in KLCC, you cant even log into your iPhone.

Any BT headset works with the iPhone. My personal preference is the Aliph Jawbone.

One of the iPhone-Elite members posted a method for patching the MeCCA framework binary to allow for custom ringtones.

I followed the instructions and am just releasing a pre-patched MeCCA file for easier use. All credit goes to the iphone-elite team! I patched it using XVI32 (a hex editor)

Instructions
-------------------

1. Backup MeCCA file located at /System/Library/Frameworks/MeCCA.framework/ (I renamed mine to MeCCA.bak)

2. SCP the included MeCCA file to this location

3. Set permissions to 755 (I used WinSCP to do this)

4. Reboot iPhone

5. Copy your m4a ringtone to /Library/Ringtones

6. Change the extension of your m4a file from "name.m4a" to "name .m4r"
NOTE: THE SPACE BEFORE THE DOT IS IMPORTANT, IT'S WHAT THE PATCH LOOKS FOR

7. Go to Settings->Sounds and select your ringtone.

im using macally mcase.. there's one prob.... it gets loose in no time and u risk slipping ur iphone from the case.
my solution... slip some folded papers behind the phone when u insert it in the case so it fits better

Try iTunes Art Importer. You can use search function (they check Amazon.com so Malay/Chinese album cover may not work) and use the import function to put the artwork into iTunes. Do it before you sync with your iPhone.

Oh, hate the new recessed output. I have to order a new cable b/c no store (i've checked several, including something like 5 apple stores in the KL area) so I can output the sound to my stereo/PA system.

Search for member walabies , he's doing a bulk on Mylarone. It's a good and cheap earphone. iPhone's jack is a bit different from the normal 3.5mm ones so remember to mention that it's meant for your iPhone

Since you are buying a new one, please don't buy the original iPhone earphones, the quality is horrendous for the money you are paying =\

P/S May I know what is a BT headset?

No, you dont have to. No significant improvement other than minor additions.

As for the headset, wont you lose the ability to answer calls if you buy an earphone/headphone, instead of using the Apple headset?

I've just check the price and it cost $99.90 (I think it's USD) it's also states that it's available in malaysia...so u have to use the store locater to find out where to get it...eventually the original headset I got is spoilt...as in as the speaker already "burst" it give this cracking or exploding sound...very very disappointed...
