Hi all. Im going to HK on 29 Aug for 4 days 3 nights (Back on the 1st Sept). My flight would be KL - Macau - KL. Will take a ferry to HK on the first day and leave HK in the morning and spent the rest of time in Macau.

Is the weather ok during dat time? I know its going to be humid how hot is it during the period? Is end of sept like 25 Sept - 28 Sept a better choice to visit? Izzit worth the rm160 (per person) postpone fee + topup (KL - HK - Macau - KL)?

Any further advises i can take? TQ in advance.

I been to HK and I find HK people more rude than Malaysians. Seriously I thought we are already rude but they actually
worse than us. I guess it is their culture living that crowded city. I can accept that fact. smile.gif

Hong Kong has many shops like SASA or BONJOUR which sells perfume, cosmetics, hair/body care, beauty products, etc at a much cheaper price. Anyone know why they are much cheaper?

My friend tells me that the stuff are genuine. The reason that it's cheaper is cos these items are not subjected to tax, that's why it's cheaper there. Anyone able to verify this?

I think HK people not that rude, some of my HK friends are very friendly.
But I did experienced that many mainland people are rude, especially when come to queue-ing.

Stayed there for 9 nights in end of Feb this year. Triple room ensuite, with window.

Location is good. Ladies market just across the road. 3 mins walk to Mongkok MTR station. Plenty of eateries around the area. Walk towards Nathan Road and easy bus ride to TST terminal - better than taking MTR if going to Avenue of Star.

Be mentally prepared that the room is small then all should be fine. In fact, some budget hotel eg Bridal Tea house, for HKD550/room/night, their room are small too(my cousin described Bridal Tea house macam Tune hotel).

As for DH room, air-cond is cold enough and not noisy, water pressure in the shower room is good, the place is secured with CCTV. They even changed our bed sheets and blankets once during our stay. Toilet/bathroom comes with body wash and shampoo (in dispensers). Self collect bath towels at the office. Each "house" unit has a small pantry area, with hot water flask, drinking water and glasses- good for making a cup of 3-in-1 coffee...(",)

Free internet at the office proved to be useful for checking return flight status and last minute read up on places to visit the next day. Oh, btw, they sell discounted Disneyland and Ocean Park tickets.

Lastly, the manager/?owner - Stanley Fan and his colleagues are the friendly lot.

Overall, no complaint and would recommend staying there.

OMG, volodstov, have you gotten yourselves the super cheap Air Asia tickets, fly direct from Pen to HK at MYR 99 and Hk-Pen at MYR 108, total at $217?? Oh boy, I was so tempted to go again.

Just one more note here, some rooms in DH are without windows, appears very claustrophobic. If you prefer a window-ed room, make sure you indicate in your reservation.
