Well, the nokia phones will always have a faster lock time, because the way the Assisted GPS work in nokia phones is a bit different than the GPS+ in Samsung phones. Basically for the nokia APGS, everytime you try to start the GPS, it will query the server through data connection, and it will use up around 2kb each time. But for GPS+, it works more like those Windows Mobile devices, you download the data once, for a time period (7 days), and it usually use up around 50kb.

From my experience of testing my colleague's Nokia 6110, his always can get a lock within 10 seconds, and 2 seconds is usual, from a cold start or warm start. And his can even get a lock inside buildings!

I am working on Tuesday as well... zzz.
Have you guys tried syncing with OUTLOOK? coz the latest firmware that we can download from the net, which is D2, have problems synchronizing with outlook.

I dont have problem sync with outlook.just connect PC Studio 7.then click synchronise then there you go..I'm using Vista anyway then XP shouldnt get any problem i guess..Connect to internet also very fast..my experience with D2 before its..really sucks...

Man, I have to get this, my i550 is my main online tool, i am using it as a modem to my digi edge connection fulltime. I do notice if I surf the net using the built in browser or ucweb, the connection seems a bit slow sometimes compared to the ori firmware. Wonder if that's true only for the phone browsing or using it as a modem also.

Any idea how to extract the firmware you have so I can download it to my phone using apollo??

anybody can guide me on how to disable the wallpaper?

this is what happen, first i went to theme>wallpaper>image and i selected an image, after that i install new theme, the image b4 was overlaping the theme, when i select default, the default animated GPS sample also overlap my new theme......don't how to make the wallpaper disappear now,....

Anybody can help?

Huh! I thought this is caused by Virus!! I was looking high and low to find a solution to remove this 'virus'!  I even tried to hard-format the phone

i can't find the location of the wallpaper at the moment, what i did at the moment is i make a wallpaper with the smallest dot and make as wallpaper. you cannot notice the dot as it is so small. the dot color depends on your theme color, if it is green color, create a wallpaper with green dot.
