1. Shooting range finder with lens cover still attached. Wasted a few films.

2. Shooting using the wrong white balance.

3. Filter on the back pocket of jeans and sat on it.

My finger accidentally press on the resolution (short cut) button and took quite a few shots at low resolution.

i think  this happen all the time even for the pro....

i shoot models with spot metering mode when there are bright sunlight.....
and when i do metering i include some of the background.. at the end.. the models overexpose while background perfect exposure...  rclxub.gif

If the sun is in the background, meter the sky to get a proper exposure, then use fill flash to brighten up the silhouette of the model.

I've done all of the above, but add these too:

- Shot pix out of focus cause I forgot that the lens was switched to manual mode (ultimate noob mistake!!)

- Shot a race (action shots) and tried to pan with the subject, took 6-7 shots. All except the first, the camera shifted focus to the background! The athletes all out of focus!

When I first started shooting in Manual mode, always forgetting to change my shutter speed and/or aperture and ending up with severely over/underexposed shots.

Stupid mistakes that I have done:

1) Shot at ISO800 during bright daylight and wondering why was it so grainy
2) Forgot to charge the flash unit batteries especially when covering an indoor event with very low lighting. Had to resort to built in flash.
3) Left my lens cap at my friend's house and thought that I lost it.
4) Forgot to transfer photos out of the memory card.
