The specification on the Datasheet look very promising.

And I saw them on 1U Gadget Fair Last week selling at RM499.

Some more when I'm searching on the web, it seem to have some 3rd Party Firmware/Support.

Other then working the box as a NAS, it seem that the box can have some fun.
Like making it to be a SSH Server, Web Server, Rsync Server.

And the Best of all, a BT Server

Similar to other Nas, you can use username/group to protect your directory and folder.

But the additional BT server really making me want to get a hands into it...

try openfiler or some other open source NAS OS, with great interface and can do iscsi, nfs, samba and so on. including performance report

Seem to be you can run a Debian box inside it.
I guess by that you can run almost everything even a mail server... but that is not my concern.

My concern is about the bt server.

I guess that I really need to get on then test on them.

lol .. Quantum Snap again ? My ex-com bought quantum SNAP (4100 if im not mistaken) before (abt 3ys ago), QNAP keep gibing problem especially the bundle IBM HDD.

Besides, i dont think malaysia still able to find Quantum NAS.

but one think about this nas is the username/passwd is for ftp only.
If u plug on lan, and share the folder, any user on can browse to your drive and delete files... correct me if im wrong ?

last year pc fair had a promo for this nas. RM359 limited to first 15 customers. i managed to get one.

does this NAS support ntfs with latest firmwarE?

This NAS is running on linux. It's using EXT3 filesystem.

If you want those security features like NTFS then it won't work. It you are talking about windows machine accessing this NAS then of course it's works. Any OS can read/write the files in this NAS.
