hey xf86, being a KS20 fan, i would definitely suggest u to get one. HTC touch? u cant compare it wif KS20 cos spec wise, KS20 is far more superior but at an affordable price. Do i need to say more? if u need one, pls PM me, good deal.

bro, im also looking for the GPS, yes it had to b another external device... i would suggest Garmin brand but last i heard LG gonna bring in external GPS as their extra accessories... keep fingers cross...

can anybody try this? there are thousands of ppl in the world wif KS20 who are stuck wif french, italian or german roms. They are dying for english roms. since we in malaysia and have the english version, we should try help them. I haven't got a KS20 YET...lol...here are some tips on extracting the roms. help the KS20 users!!! be a KS20 hero!!!

1/Configure your KS20 as for of sim-unlock (enable communication in Diag mode)

enter code 2676625720#

menu will show, press

Port Setting → 1. Diag Setting → 1. USB Set for Diag → "OK" → "Back".
(Port Setting → 1. Diag Setting →) 2. USB Switching → "LG Composite -DUN, DIAG".

press "Done" and reset your device.

2/No Activate the sleep mode (the GSM has to remain active not to interrupt Com).

3/Install LGMDP_1_1_.5_Build_12.11_Release (you will find it on GSMFORUM)

4/Launch LGMDP_EURO.exe a window opens and looks for your device. Click Connect

8/to Give the file on upload. i.e. rapidshare

well, freeware is available here n there.. but some are limited functions.


get a BT GPS receiver and install a GPS software. then you are good to go, but remember to get an LG in car charger...

by default, it's just decent as it is not a Walkman phone , but u can try to install 3rd party software like WOW SRS HD (sound enhancer) n the result, the sound become more nicer

it's final product, rule of thumb, do not get AP or oversea unit, get it with the zitron sticker. As for the WM6.0 upgrade to 6.1, let me check wif the engineer, i tried to look for update via wifi today but the windows update read - no update available

All you need is a bluetooth GPS receiver and navigation software. I would recommend the Holux M-1000 which has a more updated GPS chipset by MTK. It is marginally better than SirfStar III but has faster satellite lock from cold boot and can lock more satellites faster by a lot! Price is only RM250++. Go to www.malsingmaps.com forums and go to the seller section. One guy is selling there. He does provide the 'extras' too.

The Holux kit comes with the car charger adapter and the receiver itself can operate more than 17 hours. It uses standard nokia battery too which is easily replaceable.

All you need is to connect it to the LG KS20 via bluetooth and install the necessary navigation software like Garmin, Mapking, etc. Like I say, look for that guy in malsingmap forum. Good luck!

for the SRS WOW HD (improves audio for pocket PC), u guys can check in www.ipmart-forum.com(credit to Seaedge for recommending this site ) , but need to register(free)

. Just check under POcket PC/Palm/Apps/Games u guys can find a lot of 3rd party software for Pocket PC
