installled iatkos first then install retail cuz to do retail leopard installation u need another leopard to do the installation

so i use iatkos as a temp os just to boot in to install the retail one

hi guys, this is the first time i use iatkos on my dell 1420,
the problem im facing now is my laptop have no sounds and no graphic driver.

my graphic card is geforce 8400 128ddr3

please help me...

by right your graphic card should be easy at insanely mac there is a driver patch for ur graphic card

so far i got no prob

You mean can not boot, right ? It probably means the drivers is not compatible with your hardware. You did not say what happen during boot up, what messages or anything. It's hard to tell from here.

First of all, OS X is design to install on Macs only, Apple never wanted any PC to run OS X. No major manufacturer actually write OS X drivers for their hardware (mother board, video, sound card and etc.). OSX86 is work of hackers, OSX86 distro = OS X + hacked drivers. Given PC with many variety combo of hardware, it is possible there is no driver for particular hardware. That's the reality of OSX86.

I suggest you try installing different driver option of your distro. It may take many tries and installing. You may also have try a different distro. Do your howework, find out how compatible is your hardware and read up insanelymac.com tutorial .

That's what I thought earlier on. I used Kalyway as temp os to install retail leapord.

i got another problem here....
i cant login to my vista anymore..

everytime i select my "os" and boot it,
then the whole laptop reboot...
HELP!!!

i not yet backup my files from my vista....
i got lot of important things inside!!

loled.. just login to ur mac(if u got dual boot)

mac can mount/ read NTFS partition

i can read the files...but is there any "burning" tools at mac?
oh ya...bout my geforce 8400 128 ddr3 ram...i really cant find it..
and the sound device, i found it on osx86 wiki, but the page no longer available..

my gosh... many problems occur since i installed iatcos...

p0or u.. i dont have such prob but i believe driver for "geforces" card shouldnt be a prob. i found there is alot for them but very less for ATi. regarding the sound device, they have also alot driver

just spend more time surfing.. u will get em'

i'm having problem during booting
i have iatkos and boot it but its stuck at grey screen with apple logo

and if i use -v in command
it will stuck at jettisoning kernel linker

btw here is my spec
amd sempron 3000 support sse2 and sse3
2 sata hard disk and 1 ide
iatkos r3

hmm maybe u should get the kalyway 10.5.2
way better than iATKOS, IMO

the first one that i get is kalyway but no luck at all

after darwin load its restart
but lucky enough in vmware as i able to get into the mac aurora with cursor spining non stop, nothing is happened because nothing appeared

i'm trying for leo4all3 after this
if lucky is not within me,
its mean i'm not lucky enough to use hackintosh

Hmm i dunno wheter its really a prob but have u try leave it booting with the dvd? It usually took long time before u could reach the install screen.
Have u tried set ur sata as AHCI?

my bios doesnt seem to have that option
i didnt see whether i can change it and even smart for hard disk is not in bios

now i'm gonna try to take ideneb

but kalyway and leo4all3 have same symptom that is reboot after loading driver

me also kinda new to osx
but for sure, i use leo4allv3 - AMD EFi

i install on all intel platform & all workin' wonders. maybe u need to burn the ISO with lower speed to get proper result

my only problem now i cant burn any cd/dvd with my writer when im in osx environment.. havent try with external drive yet
