I have a Dell Mini 9. Leopard works great on the machine but I do have one issue. I can't get the vga out to work 100%. I can run Powerpoint slides on the LCD but not videos. Installed 'MirrorDisplays' - at least I got a display on the projected screen.

Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry, let me be clearer.

I want to connect the Dell Mini 9 to a projector through VGA out.

At first, only colored lines appeared on the projector screen. The I downloaded the little 'Mirror Displays' program onto my Dell Mini 9 and it got the Dell wallpaper to show on the projector screen (just the wallpaper - none of the desktop icons that I have on the Dell).

When I ran Powerpoint from the Dell, it showed on the projector screen and I could run all the slides without problems.

But when I try to run a video clip, nothing shows on the screen. And I still only get a wallpaper on the screen

When I move my cursor on the Dell to the extreme right, this cursor now 'continues' on the projector screen.....when I move the cursor on the screen way left, it appears on my Dell. Phew - hard to explain this one!

Yes, that's the word - i had extended my screen.

When I look into system preferences > display >, there are no options to duplicate the screen. In fact, there are hardly any options other than a choice of some resolutions, gather windows and detect displays.

I was hoping to use this Dell 9 in a training room....

Sorry if this question have been sprung out before, but i have one unit of Lenovo Ideapad S9 (S10 lil sister) which in comparison with S10, differ in only screen size, does anybody have experience trying Snow Leopard on S9?

And i don't quite understand the part of making the bootable thumb drive by copying stuff from Mac machine, since i have no friend closeby that own a Mac.

Hi guys,

I tried installing OSX86 and now the problem i have is that I cant get my PS2 keyboard to work. I tried following the guide here to get my keyboard to work.

QUOTE
Boot up in single user safe mode, with bootflags "-s -x -v". To do that, hold down some button while OS X is trying to start up so it gives you a prompt for boot options.

After you get the prompt, follow the instructions immediately above to be able to modify what's on your hard drive. should be something like:

fsck -fy <something>
mount -uw /

After that, type "nano /etc/rc". You should end up in a text editor. Hold down ctrl-v to page down until you reach near the end of it. In between fi and exit 0 at the very end, at these two lines:

kextunload /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext
kextload /System/Library/Extensions/ApplePS2Controller.kext/Contents/PlugIns/ApplePS2Keyboard.kext

This loads and unloads the drivers for the PS/2 keyboard

I dont know whats the <something> mentioned but i went into the single user safe mode, then typed
fsck -fy
mount -uw /
nano /etc/rc

but i get an empty file opened with the text editor..no fi , exit 0 like mentioned in the guide.. what did i wrong rclxub.gif

Darn, SL very tempting but kinda a lil' hard to handle from what Ive seen. Still prefer to Leo. Manage to install SL last night, but when I update into 10.6.2 & reboot, Im getting the KP.

Still considering to get along with 10.6 or just switch back to 10.5.8.. Haihzzz

NBTD, give a shot once again on SL tongue.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Behold, QE/CI success. Left the audio & wifi dongle.~
Lastime with 10.6.1, not much hassle but with 10.6.3, something to be tweaked a bit..
