What temperature are you running at? Is the fan running at full speed?

If it's under warranty, no fees will be charged.

You can try sending it to VR Tech for them to quote you and ask if then can replace it.

any macbook pro users has problem with the latch? I guess a lot of people complained about the latch n MBP which is quite annoying.

My MBP just wouldnt close because the latch button (below the trackpad) is half stuck there. A few poke into the latch hole below the trackpad using safety pin will help to restore it and now it closes properly but sometimes it still get stuck.. kinda annoying

Just a tip if anyone encounters this problem...

I gope the new MBP will use the MB magnetic latch design....

You'll need to mess around with the configuration in System Pref > Display

You will see 2 "screen" and you can can't the resolution from there.

If I'm not mistaken, standard VGA is only for 4:3 aspect ratio. There's a widescreen version which is called WVGA. What you can do is to 'stretch' the picture to fit the size of ur display.

Correct me if I'm wrong sad.gif

no la, like kwekeugene mention, just play with display setting.

Btw i also using that adapter (mini-dvi to vga) for my macbook to LCD tv. No problem at all, it can display at 1280x786 widescreen of cos (above the resolution can't be supported by my LCD tv due to not Full HD).

i am pretty sure it does wide screen as i can connect my MBP to my Plasma TV using VGA cable with wide screen 16:9 ratio.

you just need to adjust the display setting as kwekeugene mentioned. System Preference> displays there will be 2 display windows. oe for you macbook LCD, 1 for your monitor (if you are not using mirrored mode)

If oyu cant see both windows, just click the gather windows on the display setting on your macbook to get the 2 display setting windows onto your macbook screen.

Seems alright in my area. More likely to be a ISP issue.
