@terencetoo,
No good to use in public areas but otherwise in a quieter place, it's quite clear

@tinkerbel
I agree but then it's good to arm yourself with a bluetooth headset. It's pretty useful if you are using in Starbucks or Office.

I've this thing about sticking stuff into me ear; hence I don't have an iPod. I've also given up with my Bluetooth Headset / Handsfree Set *oops*

Simplicity and practicability has always been the key to timeless classic design
Those new acer/hp/compaq with multiple touch menus on the side, the sidebar feature to see email, the need to have dedicated wifi and bluetooth buttons,etc... all are really a sore in the eye. so unnecessary to say the least. At least too me la.. tongue.gif

thanks guys..

Ic..the speakers on the Mac not tat good ya~ where im using Toshiba now with harman Kardon speakers where i find it useful compare with my colleague lappie all very soft even though the volume almost 100% max.

Ya, the Acer latest model with all the touch sensitive buttons on the left portion really annoying, it looks cheap in my own opinion~ but never know MBP is sooo simple ~with the price above rm6k onwards~

Oh ya guys MB/MBP at the moment are they all latest model? any news upgraded model will be release soon?

plan to get 1 for my gal and 1 for me.. so have to choose wisely~ smile.gif

However I find the MBP speakers quite decent. To me the sound is crisp and clear it is actually louder than most of the other laptops in my college (happens to be mostly compaq or dell). Only the bass is not strong but well, what do you expect? It's a laptop.

I don't mean to sound rude, but you do seem to have a lot of questions. I think the faster way to answer your questions is to go down to a Apple reseller and spend some time with the Macs.

As for the sound, the internal soundcard is fairly decent. I would rate the sound quality to be better than a iPod. If you're not an audiophile, you should be happy with the internal.

So anyone encounter any problems or stange problems with MB/MBP?

does MB/MBP have HDMI slot? or hook up with lcd tv?
*

MB and MBP do not have HDMI slot. However, they can be connected to LCD TV via DVI. MB comes with a mini DVI port which can be connected to the LCD TV with an optional mini-DVI to DVI cable. As for the MBP, it comes with a standarrd DVI port, so no adapter is required. smile.gif

@terencetoo

A crew member will follow you around and will be in range if you need to ask any questions, sometimes we are reluctant to serve because after you chant the "Hellow Welcome ! May i help you sir/madam/miss ?" they...

1. Give you a weird look and turn right out of the store
2. "NO !"
3. Smile, and say they just wanna browse around.

So the bottom line is Ask ! The crew are sure to be within arms reach ready to serve you!

@friends

Unfortunately iPhoto doesn't let you add text onto photos.
Why don't you try Seashore or Acorn. Or if you want a more powerful editor why don't you try Photoshop?

okay so i'm studying at UiTM and am now planning to buy a macbook specifically for studies. personally, i consider myself mostly an apple virgin. the only apple products i have is my ipod nano. i've never ever used a mac ever before, be it a desktop or a macbook. so i really need advice on which hardware should i buy? which is worth my money? which is better for a student with a limited budget?

thanks in advance guys.

if you are on limited budget,
get the cheapest MacBook (RM3899) if you want portability,
get the cheapest Mac Mini (RM2199) if you want desktop.

P/s--bear in mind, both machine that stated above are not recommended for extreme gaming.
