when we using flashget or idm to download things or software,can we pause the task???and if after we downloaded the task or file,will it get corrupted or spoil?

just want to make sure whether these download manager safe or not lol

not sure about idm, but using flashget you can pause and resume the file you want to download, normally the file will not be corrupted or spoil....

for flashget i know currently is freeware without advertisement, so it is save to use.

Currently using orbit downloader

but also depend on the server you download from allow resume or not.

Pausing wont corrupt ur files.

idm also allow user to pause a task and continue download next time, but has to depends whether the file u downloading can resume or not.

Download accelerators can pause/resume the downloaded file as long as the server support it. Else it'd pointless even that the download manager has it.

just use flashget, doesnt have ads..

i think u can use download accelerator plus.it is gd and free too

the free version of download accelerator limits the connection to the server to 3-4 (if im not mistaken) unless u are using the paid version which doesnt have any ads,etc, up to 10 connections is allowed.

But if you're using flashget, which is free and adless, you can set it to have 10 connections to the server.

IMHO, I tried both before, both works, the same way and i still get the same speed. But in the end, I would go for FlashGet.

and i hope using flashget we can pause those task especially the very large size file.if pausing them,the file usually wont get corrupted using flashget(any version)

i use the free download manger.....working very fine with me

use IDM can connect up to 16, which is the best among all but still, is not a freeware

btw, what downloader are you using now

for me, flashget hands down. n now it's FREE!! even better! it's a top software choice n received the softpedia 100% Clean Award. however the latest versions after 1.9.0 do not have the clean award becoz it calls to different servers at the launch of the program.

so i suggest download the latest "Clean" flashget software for free... version 1.8.8. that's what i did.

some site such as rapidshare with free download dont allow us to download using flashget or any other downloader

im using IDM, most of the time, it allows u to resume ur download files, but it really depends on the domain, if the website doesn't support resume download, then u have to re-download from the website

Morning all....
Even downloading using flashget or any other downloader... it doesn`t mean we free from viruses..
So be carefull.....

i think flashget is more user-friendly, tried to use idm but feel strange when using it
