I have been using my vostro 1500 since aug last year, still serve me perfectly until now. smile.gif

Recently just bought another 2 units vostro 1310 for my company use. I found that the built quality of 1500-1400 is better than newer models such as 1310-1510.

Hi, I am using a vostro 1500 too. I got mine with 2G(2*1G) RAM. According to the manual there's a DIMMA and DIMMB slot. The DIMMA slot is right above the keyboard. Do you know if it can be succesfully removed? Or seen such incidences. I want to put 2*2G ram BTW

any particular model refer to? or generally vostro are all black that design that for SOHO user. but home user also can buy la coz affordable.
no stylist or sexy design of chassis. not fully entertainment features designed as well. as you might found out certain model only single/mono speaker.
chassis build quality are better than any dell entry/basic model but cannot said the best chassis build for dell nb as there is latitude and precision heading.

Pissed off at Dell right now sleep.gif

Does anyone know what the Gold Technical Support line number is? My handbook states 1306, but it is for bloody corporates only, not home users. Asked and got a number of 1308, turned out to be just another 1304 shakehead.gif

The battery indicator kept blinking 5 times - 4 times red, 1 time blue, then goes off, and repeat. No idea what it means rclxub.gif Now plugged off the battery, running strictly on AC, it's gone mellow.gif
