I think they offer merdeka package and free delivery.Maybe you could wait until tomorrow night.IMO Actually it's better if they offer 2GB of ram upgrade rather than free delivery.

for the chassic, yes there is a diff in btw inspiron & vostro.
the rest I dun see any other diff.
for warranty coverage, vostro also have same warranty like inspiron, and also with better type of warranty such as gold technical phone support meant is based on 24x7. any other thing better than inspiron, pls comment.

as stated the vostro series is actually more for business users with better built quality. The new inspiron which comes with alternative color choices, is aiming for teenagers, ladies and students.

Now i do think vostro 1400, weight at 2.4kg, should be a great choice for regular traveller, at reasonable attractive price, comparing to vostro 1500 at 2.9kg. tongue.gif

@princehamsap eh the truelife thing isit non-truelife the screen is matte type while truelife is glossy type? or now all oso glossy type liao? i'm eyeing the ultra sharp 1...

i saw dell website the 1400 under performance tab... it has a huge storage tag, tat 1 is considered weekly promotion or it is packaged this way? i mean will it be still available in time to come? tat model coupled with free 2 gig ram seems a very good bargain...

@sotong, seems can get the lappy quite fast eh....

i suppose it is due to less popular/demand than inspiron and no color option, tat's y they could deliver earlier.

truelife = glossy type lcd screen
non-truelife - matte type lcd screen

if not mistaken...huhuhu...

when choosing, make sure they stated it truelife or non-truelife....follow by lcd screen resolution i think... biggrin.gif

Hey, I am planning to get Vostro on Tuesday or later.

Does anyone want to get it together with me? Then we can both have another RM100 online rebates!
