Hi everyone,

Let me introduce to you techBeat.com.my - a site that allows it's users to do two things:

1. Publish your resume, CV and portfolio online under your own name - and is accessible to anyone and everyone 24hrs a day 365 days a year. And is completely free!

2. Secondly, to post jobs with only one click (the Submit button) without the need to register first.

Why did we create techBeat.com.my?
Before techBeat.com.my existed there is no website where companies can find Malaysian IT and Creative Multimedia enthusiasts, students and jobseekers.

We realised this problem when we were looking for a PHP/MySQL programmer and we did not want to use the famous well known online job services because we knew that it would still be very hard to look for a job candidate from the service.

Our idealogy is simplicity. When an employer is seeking to hire someone, they should do with the least amount of complexity, which is why we came up with such a concept.

How does it work?
It works for both ICT and Creative Multimedia companies as well as jobseekers in the industry.

How does it work for the creative multimedia dude or tech professional or anyone?
Anyone and everyone can have their very our online resume, or what we call your "TechBeat Resume". Its simple to use and straight to the point and it's free.

How does it work for ICT/Tech/Creative multimedia companies?
It works very well for such companies because we offer a really targeted reach, why post a job listing on a generic and general based job listing service, when you can post to a specific and specialized job site like TechBeat.

Apart from that, companies will be able to browse through the business network which is made up of all the TechBeat resumes.

Who's behind TechBeat.com.my?
Slashes and Dots Sdn Bhd = The same team behind Azrul.com + One guy

We're going through beta and we need users to test it out and tell us what's right or not.

But I do admit that there are some of the core functions of the site which aren't working yet. We don't mind. Hopefully all these function such as Change password, Preferences etc. will be done by this weekend.

And I don't consider this promoting in a bad way. I consider this an explanation of our offering, which will be helpful to many people.

We've just came back from MMU's convocation and we hope to do more promo work at the University and College level. I have to say that MMU's convocation was really great!

Hopefully next year we'll be able to offer more to the crowd. We only managed to give away free drinks this time around ;-)

First of all the site aint complete.

1. doesnt look like those glossy web 2.0 ish
2. the about us looks horrible
3. once registered email layout is sloppy
4. a lot of functions on the site not working
5. edit profile - then i cant even save my profile
6. city field eg. programmmer etc. WTF ?
7. state field eg. Google (yeah right) etc. <-- trying to be funny ???
8. no login indicator
9. and their blog is on a seperate wordpress engine which BTW doesnt even have any post !!!!

yeah i agree with davidlowjw dont post a site when its not complete. it turns off ppl.
and promoting on forums ? man .. thats low man ... really really low ... cool2.gif

TS misunderstood the meaning of beta. Beta usually means a product who is fairly usable and functional, albeit some bugs, NOT halfbaked- functions on most sections.

I think it's not even in alpha.

good try though in attempting to make an early bucks. Yet another spoiled "entrance".

patience is a virtue.

You are right. At least they got my attention and write a review ( http://www.asiaparttime.com/blog/job-site-...-techbeatcommy/ ) on them. Give these young guys some chance lar. It is a good site to beat jobstreet. Don't let jobstreet monopolize the whole market.

Thank you very much for the review AsiaPartTime! Our very own first review!

An offbeat question.. are you a partner of Jobsmeet.com or are you running the site?

We have a few very interesting features in the line-up actually. But these features will probably be released around 2 months time if not anytime soon, because we want to sort out our simplest of features first tongue.gif

Please check out what Azrul has to say on our blog about launching early http://www.techbeat.com.my/weblog/2007/why...unfinished-site

By the way I'm Nabil. Check out for our blog posts..

Hopefully this will be interesting.

We are not their partner, but I am building good connection to all the small small jobsites. Perhaps, I will add your logo on my home page too smile.gif

We work together to beat JobStreet.
