Movie could've been shorter if it didn't skip all over the place so much. If you thought Knk series' timeskips was annoying, then what would you think if the whole 2 hours of ep5 was timeskips?

I don't find any reason why the narrative should be done this way. I'm sure the book wasn't this way either. Was it probably just to be pretentious and to be "in-theme" with the whole rassen philosophy or perhaps to depict insanity? Story would've been better if it was linear.

Actually, I think that's how the book was written. Nasu has a knack for swapping narrative viewpoints in the middle of the story - swapping flashbacks in between would come off as no surprise. I have to admit ep5 almost drove me insane but I think if ep5 was told in a linear fashion it wouldnt leave as much impact as it did. And yeah, perhaps it was arranged that way to get the audience to feel the kind of insanity Tomoe has been going through.

I actually appreciate they went through the trouble of turning the story into a puzzle. Instead of watching it and be done with it, KnK becomes something thats actually memorable.

In nasu-verse....ppl don't die when they are killed. laugh.gif

I'd say i appreciate the time skips better now if the narrative was done in such a way to purposely make the audience feel the insanity of the spiral paradox. If it were for no other reason, i'd say the show was just trying to be needlessly confusing and pretentious.

Oh well.. at least everything was clear towards the end of the episode. And wtf is with Shiki and her "out-of-character" dere dere mode throughout the show?

Her tsundere mode went flaring because she doesn't want to admit that she's madly in love with Kokutou. This is one of the rare occasions where passionate love is displayed not by physical gestures but the strong irritation in the boyfriend's absence - and perhaps selfishness, since Kokutou only gave her since phone number and nothing else.

Shiki wants to be loved, she just doesn't want to admit it. And that's why her precious little dere dere moments are so fricking awsm.

i think touko died long time ago since he found his brain at the basement car park (that is the car park right?) ariya actually put his soul into the puppet, correct me if i'm wrong smile.gif

this ep is damn long, i finished it today afternoon, i found that some part of the show r kinda annoying and i experienced deja vu in 1 of the scene where i felt like i see that scene somewhere before.

the story r still full of mysteries for me and make me confuse, especially that damn apartment shakehead.gif

shiki is tsundere or yandere hmm.gif the last part where she ask kokutou for his house key is very cute blush.gif
