Hi,

I checked all the connections of the router. All ok.
Checked the lights, all ok.

On the computer it shows limited connectivity and I can't enter the router's page.
Any solutions?

Software version 6001ak

This happened after I formatted my com which to me didn't make any sense.

Thanks for all replies.

If this problem only happened after you formatted your computer, than can you try connecting to the router (via cable) using another computer?

Cheers,

QUOTE(llkh @ Sep 2 2008, 10:54 AM)
hi bro, u need to connect to the wireless first, by default the wireless comes with a SSID(belkin54g if not mistaken) with no passwords, you will need to connect to the wireless manually using your wireless wizard on your laptop.
if still can't, try to connect using wired and do the necessary configuration on the router, such as PPPoE, wireless, etc
*

kinson77 & llkh, thanks for your reply. let me make it clear.

1. my laptop not even detected any wireless device using the windows application.
2. i had set up the id n password.( i can browse the net using the LAN cable)
3. as i know, i no need to set anything if i dun want any password or security on the wireless connection.

Does this informations enough? Hope u all can help me solve this problem

Hi Bro,

Sorry if my questions sound a little simple, I'm also trying to understand the scenario on your laptop smile.gif

1. Does your laptop detect other wireless networks?
2. Do you normally use the windows client or some other branded (e.g. atheros, intel, belkin) client to connect to wireless in the system tray?
3. Have you tried using other devices (e.g. another laptop/phone) to try and search for your wireless?
4. Have you made sure the physical switch for the wireless on turned on in your laptop, or the hotkey switch...sometimes it's fn + something.

Cheers,
Kinson

The problem is solved.

Wasted a lot of time....
Belkin telephone services the ppl also quite blur.. They are overseas ppl. Other country don't have this model.

To solve, just update the firmware.

The firmware is only for V7.00 Router!!

I'm VICTIM of Belkin mad.gif

Just brought a Belkin F5D7633AK4A last two days. The why I brought it is because I hope I could get more reliable product & more advance product than others. But, this vmad.gif xxxxx product really make me disappointed ! It will hang and couldn't get any LAN connection / wireless after few hours, I need to use a needle to reset the modem everytime, then configure everytime after I met that problem ! Just imaging, how many I need to do those step daily ? (I'm switch-on my modem 24/7)

vmad.gif Bellkin is really a rubbish Lifetime Warranty product, doh.gif my previous modem brand -- Intellinet also a lifetime warranty Wireless Modem, just cost me RM17x.00, having more stronger wireless signal, never down during 420 days in past (I been used it for 1year + in 24/7) Even my ex-ex-wireless modem -- Aztech & Dlink also don't have these type of problem.

Buddy, icon_question.gif please tell me what can I do with this modem, i just brought it 2 days ago icon_question.gif . (No wonder the salesman tell me in advance -- their one to one exchange is not cover the problem like "sometimes can work sometimes cannot work", the salesman mentioned to me that he can only one to one exchange if the modem totally can't switch on or mal-function)

Sorry I haven't had the time to give a full and proper answer just yet, but I just noticed this, so I thought I'd just point out that flashing your router's firmware will most certainly VOID its warranty, which also means no more lifetime warranty. Flashing to a 3rd party firmware definitely has it's benefits, but more often than not, you'll be able to find a solution to get your router working the way you want it to (advanced features aside) without having to resort to 3rd party firmwares.

No offense against n8210 smile.gif I just thought I'd point this out in case some people gung-ho and flash the firmware before understanding this smile.gif

Kinson

I'm not sure about flashing back to the original firmware, you'll have to check it out. A factory default/hard reset wouldn't work, as you could have wiped the original firmware from the router already.
