I have a weird issue.

I have a Toshiba laptop Satellite M100 1511-e which is preinstalled with Windows XP Home ( Hard Disk Hitachi 80GB SATA ), Toshiba Recovery Tool works fine with the hard disk.

The issue arise when i decided to upgrade my hard disk to Seagate Momentus 5400.5 160GB. The Toshiba Recovery Tools Doesnt work at all.

Any input are appreciated the most

Because the recovery tool is installed in your old hard drive in a hidden partition.

Open a new thread for this if you got any other question because it is not related to this thread.

You burn the ISO into the CD or you run the ISO and burn as CD?

Don't even answer if you don't even know what is going on.

Got it sorted out at last, the recovery tool is in the DVD itself.

the issue is the recovery tool itself, it only works if the new hard disk remain unformatted and no partition for the first recover.

second, third and the following recovery will work fine then.

Hrm, that is not windows warning i think. I've never seen such warning by Windows before...

You might need to check your SATA/RAID settings in your bios or such...

If BIOS can't detect the SATA hard drive, how does it get NTLDR missing? rclxub.gif rclxub.gif rclxub.gif
