Hey ubuntu, to each his own. Don't need to thrash VPN services just cause you prefer torrentflux. I can think up many reasons why a TF service is inferior to a VPN. Did you just conveniently forget that majority of TF packages cost more than a VPN except those really small ones that can fit only one DVD? Did you also conveniently forget that even when you are downloading your file at full speed, you still have to keep your computer on for a significant amount of time?

Consider this 170 mb file took me 24 minutes to download on my VPN (latest Claymore).
Let's say you get full speed on your TF maybe you'll shave off like uh 4 minutes of electricity? Cept that you had to probably wait for 5-10 for your TF server to get it before you could even begin downloading it to your comp.

Now you'll probably say, WELL HOW ABOUT POORLY SEEDED TORRENTS I ONLY NEED TO KEEP MY COMPUTER ON FOR X AMOUNT OF TIME.

Ohh but you would have to wait almost DOUBLE the amount of time before you get the file to your comp while the VPN user only has to wait one time. This suits some people but is by no means a huge advantage.

Both have their pros and cons. If you're not intending to be a customer don't go thrash other ppl's thread. Thanks.
Go enjoy your 'non-profit' TF which has the same price (or even more expensive) as other commercial TFs.
